@xk
"Depressing place"

You could say that DXC do this because it annoys long termers

@wz+1khqtgkr4 wow thats the most accurate description of whats going on in DXC.

Pay lies and fake promises, small numbers if people being let go quietly.

The Account leads won't even go to accounts and demand Tech refresh.

AI talk is bullshirt so the Execs can stay even longer and milk more.

Depressing place.

I used to feel rewarded by being useful at work. These days, I don’t even feel that. Management seems completely disconnected—they have no real idea what anyone is doing. Talking about salary feels pointless; it’s obvious that for most people, it will be 0% this year, maybe a few exceptions.

We’re running legacy systems for clients who are dinosaurs themselves. There’s constant talk of AI and “turnaround,” but it’s all hot air. No real intention to implement anything modern. Work is grinding to a halt, because touching legacy systems is basically off-limits. People can be let go one by one, and nothing changes. Eventually, the clients will upgrade—but DXC won’t be the implementation partner.

Honestly, I haven’t seen any real modern thinking in the 20+ years I’ve been here. It’s demoralising to feel like nothing you do really matters. My time for VR must be soon!?

The weird vampire person will inform you by late March that the salaries have been adjusted. It's just that you won't see any of it on your payslip.

If money is your goal, why stay here? Everybody I know who left DXC got more money.

Why keep complaining about this year after year after year, etc.

Solution is to leave asap and get your proper compensation with a good company

The indexation has already happened.

Unfortunately once we ensured our executives were adequately compensated we were only able to index pay at zero to the rank and file staff.

Better luck next year eh?

The company seems perfectly comfortable paying strong salaries to new starters.

Are the new joiners more capable? Possibly. But many quickly run into the same structural issues everyone else faces: difficulty getting decisions made, limited ability to move things forward, and a general sense that effort doesn’t materially change outcomes.

Combine that with a perceived “no pay rise” culture, where performance reviews are largely neutral regardless of impact, and there’s little consequence for underperformance, people adapt accordingly.

New joiners might arrive motivated. Within months they are just like everyone else, except on much higher salaries.

The strong signal is DXC doesn't need you and certainly won't do anything to retain you. We made our choice to stay. Busy tending our share portfolio and side hustles. The company has nothing. I for one checked out in late 2024. Nobody has noticed!

I recently left DXC for a new employer and the salary was about 15-20-% higher than my DXC wage. Which sounds a lot but if you use an inflation calculator for the years I was at DXC, it was the equivalent to my joining DXC Wage. Don’t underestimate how inflation eats at your pay packet.

HR and the management is now focused on the year end reviews. There is no time for reviewing pay as well. The latest game is they need to know everyone's skillset again, because despite endless spreadsheets and systems of the past. They've lost them again! But this time please only record "current" skills. OK so on the basis i've done very little in the last 3 months. I have no current skills - well done and that's why your pay review is 0%! Now fill in your timesheet carry on.

You must be lucky in EMEA then because in UK we've been told nothing apart from the whole company email back in November saying possible raise in December had been delayed till March.
Also what is salary indexation? DXC has never done that or ever said it would.

If you want a bit of fun, use AI to provide figures and a pretty graph for how far your salary has dropped in real terms, how much you've lost etc and present it at your year end review, it makes your point and shows you've used AI so met one of their poxy goals

We were told last year pay rises were going to be August, then September, then November, then December, then February 2026. All this on Town Halls and by various leaders.

Everyone knows DXC Execs are born liars who can't be trusted on what they say.

One thing for sure their over inflated pay rises will happen like it does every year.

DXC are liars, they like to under pay people. The employees in return have to get their pay rise by working less and not delivering.

The Management accept this.

The money is reserved for the Execs trips around the globe as they dont use MS Teams for some reason. They call it a Honey pot/milking Management style where they have to try out Business class from different Airlines and Hotel brands as there is $2 billion in the DXC bank account which needs to be used.

Pay rises will be next year, and the same message will be replayed next year.
