The Hipster CIO Vanishes: BNY’s Fastest Transformation Yet

BNY Pershing’s CIO came and went faster than a transformation buzzword. The British hipster swagger, the artisan‑arrogance, the 'Untuckit' shirt and white tennis shoes style and the “I’ll fix and co-locate everything in six weeks” energy — all gone. And in classic BNY fashion, the update is delivered with that beloved euphemism: “He is no longer with us.” Translation: blink and you missed him.

@b0 Someone should put a saddle on all these rodeo clowns and then let's see how quickly the innovation trail begins and ends. The ratings and self-assessments should start right there. Stop with the circus games. The only thing meaningful these clowns can wrangle is a free Starbucks coffee and free donut on donut day Thursdays. About the only things you'll find beneath these dbags is a manure cream pie, a layoff list and a string of broken pillars and principles stacked on top of lies! #LifeatBNY

What smart man or woman would want to work at BNY?

@vv 100%! Clearly there are no qualified internal candidates! Coolio must be replaced by an external DEI hire who comes from Goldman and has inside sponsorship. These positions are not filled without a high degree of cronyism! Just wait… Robbie and Dermie have someone already lined up.

Do you all realize the worst part of this? Now that ‘coolio’ is gone, our senior level sees this as a wide open ‘leadership’ gap that must be filled. And only a DEI from GS, Citi or JPM will do.
You see, we just don’t have anyone internally smart enough or woman enough or differently pigmented enough. Only someone from the outside can be qualified to get huge pay days to come up with cool buzzwords and proper euphemisms for managerial consumption while firing us lazy low brow underlings.
Yes indeedy! We need a replacement pronto!
Send us your loonies and Goonies GS!

@s1 So true. This guy is textbook BS artist. His needle was definitely pegged in the red and clearly he gots to go. "Senior leaders" around here thrive on the disgusting phony optics, meaningless buzz words and tag lines that signal action. They rely on their friends, take the bag, hide under the covers of major transformation, then bolt after doing nothing for their people. ML could never produce a beat.

@g5 DEI hire and complete BS artist. Would drop Jamie Dinon’s name all the time saying the two were close friends. His career is marked with short tenures at every stop. He is better known for playing drums than for anything he accomplished at BNY. Maybe he can land a gig somewhere and actually move the needle.

Another DEI waste of money.
He’s proof that you can steal slogans and buzzwords from Apple podcasts (performance moving needles etc etc etc) get hired and get paid handsomely until the BS needle goes into the red zone.

Awwwww and after Robin Vince said he is a leader bringing “a unique set of skills” to “fully leverage” BNY’s platforms. A true difference maker to Pershing and clients.

They should throw a saddle on Carolyn and ride her to an innovative finish line. Hahahahhaahaha
