It’s happened so many times already that I’m not even sure there are enough people left on some teams to carry the load. Every time they cut, the rest of us get buried.

Just get your resumes together. Clean up your LinkedIn and see what else is out there while the gig still pays. Doing 3 people's work because they laid off your team is not cool. Time to move on.

As a former Mattel employee, I always wondered did I have more influence as an Employee, a Shareholder or a Consumer of Mattel product? The answer was clearly a consumer of Mattel products. Management does NOT give a sh]t what you think as an employee or shareholder. Pathetic and dysfunctional truth!
3 truths:
The stock is up.
Leadership doesn't care what you think.
Your job is shipping to India.
@rc will you lead the worker's revolution, comrade?
Thing is, the working class have more power than they think. the last of us need to feel engorged with power, do the bare minimum required for your role, nothing more nothing less. Stay firm in your boundaries. Life doesn't need to be like this in the "richest" country in the world.

Funny thing, after being laid off, when I went to turn in my badge to security, there was someone there who said they were a temp transitioning to full time. The circle of corporate life.
Come on, you know the routine by now. In a few weeks, they'll hire a few temps to 'help out'. Some of those temps will vanish some will get full-time. The cycle repeats. There's also talk of SKU reduction. Reminder, this is just talks. As per routine, they'll reduce 20% SKU in one area, but increase 30% in other areas.
This is a carousel, hang on and enjoy the ride. Very predictable most times. Sometimes it's better to switch horses or jump off and try a different ride.
