@OP No they do not barring a select few, for a time. You know this and so do many others but you are still there. So we can assume their strategy works well for them
@r9 and could you name a couple of those good IT companies not treating employees as disposable cogs? I haven't seen any so far.
I quiet quit Oracle 3 years ago because of their attitude towards the employees. The only reason I stayed was because I could work 100% remote. NOW Oracle is reaping the spoiled fruits or they’re actions. They’re asking us all to dig deep and work hard. Many employees are laughing at that. I’ve accumulated a nice pile of F-U money and will walk short notice…resign with impact!
The best thing I ever did during my 15 years at Oracle was live off 50% of my pay and learn about investing in stocks. It has paid off way more than any skills or contacts I made at Oracle. I REALLY do not feel all tech companies are like Oracle. I see tons of people who have stayed in tech at really good companies and are happy. Oracle lifers and mgmt....they will try and say "every tech company is like this". No, it's not. The sabotaging disgusting nature of the mgmt, the abuse, it's very specific to Oracle. The downright dopey behavior of people to waste literally years of their lives on projects/efforts that dont mean squat still makes me laugh to this day. Like circus seals jumping for fish. The people with hardcore solid tech skills can move on. The ones that are basically doing online coloring books with excel......doneski! So glad I rolled. Cesspool. Lots of horrible people as well.

Not news at all. Took me too long to figure that out.
This is what most ppl hate about this Org. Once joined, you wont see ANY raises, promotions for DECADES. Even then, If you are lucky, enjoy that VERY generous 2-3% hike !!
If LE does not care about the customers, why would he care about employees? 🤷♂️🤦♂️
