Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

leader of BNY ethics?

Where do ethical concerns at this firm end up in leadership - seeking a name that isnt RV. There are insidious tactics being applied to domestic employees at this time which will have prolific downstream consequences. There is proof abound certain execs are complicit with fake performance reviews under a visa and 3rd party displacement model.

Please write your government representatives if you see it too, or have worked with McKinsey on these models in the past.

Just FYI, the "ethics office" is just one employee for the entire bank. That office used to have around six people. That should show you the investment that BNY is willing to make to uphold "doing whats right."

@st, @me, @a8 and @aa, It appears that there is a glaring lack of accountability for ethics within our firm, starting at the top of the house. We hold 'Thriving Together' as our guiding principle and 'Doing What is Right' as our standard of behavior. However, it seems that these values are not being upheld consistently as evidenced by all the comments and concerns raised publicly on this forum and more broadly in private.

While we encourage reporting ethics claims through the Ethics hotline, it is crucial that these claims are independently investigated, and feedback is provided to the impacted associate and their management in a timely manner. Unfortunately, it appears that this process is not being followed throughout the bank, which is very disappointing.

The absence of consistent ethical accountability is a significant loss for our firm. One can only hope that some remnants of ethical standards still reside with those in charge. If not, we might have to wait for drastic measures such as intervention by the next regime and a complete overhaul once the damage and looting is done.

I urge everyone to reflect on our core values and ensure that we are genuinely committed to upholding them. Let us strive to reimagine and create an environment where ethics are not just a buzzword on an HR wall chart but a fundamental part of our culture.

This is so true. I’ve made multiple clear and documented reports to the ethics point hotline and they are totally ignored.

@aa
Yeah, not only ‘what ethics?’ But what leadership for that matter?

What ethics? That term is non existent in BNY. I was let go about 7 months back on bogus pip with no clear goals or timelines. Spineless manager and management had made up their minds already. There is no concept of ethics in BNY. I hope the board eventually sees this and fires RV and his dipsh-t cronies.
