Just "small scale" layoffs, huh?
Always subtext, always a spin, may they all rot.

@qn they have in older posts. Not recently though.
@pz you would think someone would have posted about being sc--wed on severance. People aren't shy about anything else on this site.
@mq There is nothing spelled out. It. Is. Variable.
@kz How many people do you know who were laid off and didn't get exactly what was spelled out in the document? Seriously, anyone?
@ky The policy includes minimums, maximums, and numerous caveats and conditions that impact how much you get and if you get anything at all. The policy DOES NOT GUARANTEE SEVERANCE and DOES NOT INCLUDE A SINGULAR AMOUNT.
Box of rocks istg.
@fr I know 10 people who were all laid off and they all got exactly what the policy says they will get. Two of which never collected because they got jobs. Is there anyone that did not get severance as per policy? That might be a better question
@ka Then your head is either in the sand or up your hole. 'I haven't seen anything so it's not happening.' Layoffs happen across the company every quarter, you ostrich.
I have yet to see a layoff after being here a little over five years, if someone could elaborate where this is happening and what department I see nothing but a bunch of complaining and vague comments. Would really like to know.
@aw Whats your grade level and sev package?
I’d volunteer for standard severance in 1 second. Poof! I’m gone. And bank protected by NDA. Everyone wins. I know lots of people who would jump.
Severance policy: MyHR > benefits > your total rewards > type “severance policy” in the search box. It comes up at top of search results.
@b7 Google U.S. Bank severance or look it up in my HR. You get one or two weeks per year of service depending on pay grade or if you have been with the bank 15+ years. There are minimums depending on pay grade and 52 week maximum. You must sign something that says you won't sue the.company. not sure if that includes NDA. You get the money relatively soon after termination.
It’s a political wrapped in who willingly places their game. At the end of the day, you’re number will get pulled one way or another.
@b1 If you get severance at all. They updated the policy last year to basically be a bunch of loopholes for why they don't have to pay it.
From what I've gathered, those who do receive severance have to sign an NDA. If that's true, I'm not asking for specifics, but can anyone here who has actually received severance confirm how many weeks you got and how simple or complicated they made it?
Has anyone here reasonably believed they should receive severance but didn't?
I'm trying to prepare for when it's my turn, because I'm sure it eventually will be.
@aw I guess silver lining is you get bonus severance after 15 years
I worked their for 15 years 8 months and 16 days - got laid off today.
Laid off today.
In the 15 years I’ve worked here there has been layoffs, some large, some small and some in between
Maybe they were planned on 4/23. Surely Goonjan didn’t LIE on 4/22!? /s
