Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

@5c4 it happened for me. Got a new TL, two people in my last unit were moved to other units. Now we all have to teach the new TL because they have no clue what goes on in our state. A lot of work went to the vendor. Yes, I’m grateful I still have MY job, but for how long?

It’s May 6th and what happened on May 1? NOTHING.

@29e I can’t tell you anything if I don’t know anything! Don’t know who we are going to be under, don’t know if my work is coming with me. The vendor is taking over quite a bit of it. 🤷‍♀️

Yup. So much for transparency. You claim to be in it but still no details. Gotcha.

@1dr no, it’s true. I’m in it. Don’t know who my leader is going to be, or if my job will even be the same. So much for transparency!

What are they about to do? What’s going to happen May 1?

I think it’s the same nut job who made this vague post that’s making the vague comments, stirring up sh-t with nothing.

@12a sounds like typical Allstate bs. They probably found their reasoning in right answers!

I am fairly new to the company and just got let go because of the ONE stat I can't control. Coachability? Great! Productive time showing I don't BS? Great!

Selling policies to people who don't even know they are being TRANSFERRED to us or people who get a quote so ridiculous I have to become an Oscar winner to deliver the rate? No maam! You su-k! Even after they flat out told me I was in the WORST queue because I was new, they still then punished me when I couldn't sell policies that were 7x higher than even lowball companies. No worries tho - I needed the wakeup call lol - They were NOT a good fit.

They shuffle everyone around endlessly, I’ve had 10 different managers in 10 years. We don’t even know our “metrics” until the end of the second quarter. This is a rudderless ship with a drunk captain and a crew that checked out mentally years ago

I go to night school for something completely unrelated to this awful industry and I’m getting the F out of here as soon as I graduate, I suggest anyone reading this do something similar. I’m not even sure I’ll make it 3 more months at this point

Why do I think they're about to do absolutely nothing? 🤔

@k0 That is pretty much status quo. More unwarranted 6 figure incomes for incompetent egotistical unqualified leaders with 2 direct reports per. All while cutting those that actually make the company run.

Wash, rinse, repeat.....

What are they going to do, layoff more workers and hire more managers?

@g6 Same here. Work from home. Do what I want. Have a manager I hear from maybe twice a month. No accountability and decent pay. I know it won't last forever so taking advantage of it as long as I can. Then off to severance and unemployment for s 6 months or so break until a fresh start with a reasonable and more normalized company. That is the way to go. No need to try and better myself and my position as nepotism and company politics already have such positions accounted for. I really don't want to stay here any longer than I have to. But they are going to cut me a year's severance before I leave.

I’m not leaving until they pay me to leave.

It would be hilarious if there were layoffs on International Workers Day

Cutting heads, rolling everything into a ball, and letting suppliers handle multiple departments that they have no skill or training in. All while agencies sink and customers get subpar and delayed service. Anything to let TW and his goons to make a little more in bonus for 2026.

I pray I am on the 5/1/2026 list.

What are they planning to do? If it’s possible to be more specific, can you shed some light on more details?

Indeed. Not at all looking forward. Areas doing work that they have absolutely no experience or business doing. Because the c-suite is absolutely clueless but making decisions blindly and without merit. But what else is new?
