Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Don’t speak up!

Put your head down and do your work. Fortunately the CSO isn’t actually the one that keeps us safe. He sits behind the doors that he closes behind him in his fraternity room. Bringing the sorority girls in one by one, you know the favorites. The ones that he protects and the ones that protect his little secrets that aren’t even secret! The company doesn’t have time or money for lawsuits to waste on people like this anymore! It’s just a matter of time. One would think that integrity is a core competency as the CSO! Shane on you Nike HR and legal!

@fq Impossible to ensure no bias. Also, how these investigative resources are applied and findings documented varies greatly between rank & file employees and executives. The Board has the power to hire outside investigators, but that's really only done for CEO inquiries and typically to "clean house" once wrongdoings surface in the public space.

They don't document anything because legal won't let them. Documentation = Risk. That's how they keep Nike safe. I mean, it's a strategy.

@hb "you spend too much money" - thats it? Thats why you are losing your mind? There has to be something else. Has to. So yes, be specific - otherwise kick rocks. That is the lamest reason i could have imagined considering the majority of mind-blowing spend happening all across the company.

@hb such a troll. Why don’t you leave? The team would be so much better without this negativity.

@fc JM entered the chat!!! Why would you be asking us to post “specific issues” here? I did post a specific issue - you spend too much money. You really want me to get specific? REALLY?!

Also, your “son” sounds skibidi (like you).

@da so as you said - the ones who “investigate” report to legal. So if there is an investigation against someone in legal how is it possible to ensure no bias?

@fc parts of his org definitely add value but he himself JM adds zero value. He’s just a walking ego who is hiding behind things he should be embarrassed of. Unethical to his core with no integrity. Just because he wasn’t fired for it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

@ew zero value? you lose all credibility with comments like this. His org adds loads of value within certain functions - definitely not all, but you sound like someone who is just generally pi***d off at everything rather than trying to highlight actual issues. Do better.

As my son would say, "why you mad bro?"

He and his entire LT are a bunch of inexperienced goons. The entire thing should be outsourced. They add zero value to the company and spend money like they make it.

@c4 HR doesn't report to Legal. Employee Relations (previously part of HR) reports to Legal. The other team that does investigative work reports directly to the CSO, so they will not do anything about this matter.

“Is it discoverable” famous words from one VP and one Sr. VP in legal. That sounds ethical right? We should trust theirs leadership right? Humility is beautiful. Admit you were wrong and do the right thing. Period! There is plenty of discoverable information. We all know the truth.

@b0 he will do everything to have his initials scrubbed from the site even when the content doesn’t violate any of the policies because he knows just how unethical he’s been and exactly what he’s done. He knows that a lot of people know what he’s done and people are fed up. Doesn’t HR say “if you saw what someone did or you know what someone did and you didn’t report it, you are just as guilty.”

So just to be clear, HR reports to legal, and they conduct investigations on the teams that are part of their Org (essentially peers). How is that? Is it really EEO when the fate of an investigation lies in the hands of your peers and their buddies? I believe that our investigations are very similar to that of a criminal trial.. You would eliminate jurors that were friends with anyone associated with a case, right? How is that not a conflict of interest? Bias? Discrimination? Someone please tell me this isn’t true.

If that’s not a scandal, I don’t know what is! It’s just one that’s been buried and resurfacing with the same kind of conduct. Period.

@OP it’s actually sad how much he’s been able to get away with. Why is everyone so afraid/intimidated by him? I wonder when legal will start digging up the truth? In the meantime, he makes everyone’s life miserable and isn’t leading anything. His past and current misconduct is a risk to Nike.
