Hearing pd claims and injury and all of p&c claims will be downsizing due to AI.

I really dont get why you hang out here and post stuff like that, whoever it is posting below, and likely all the agitation bait posts here....what motivates you to spend so much time here, you clearly dont work for the farm anymore...really a sad situation
Our AI cannot even understand what policy number someone is providing it, and routes the call to the wrong area all the time, its horrific at basic tasks.
Its amazing how bad the info is on this site.
Easy to tell most posters dont work here or havent for a long time.
The department thats been understaffed to the point its barely functional and a massive loss of money and efficiency is going to downsize? Ok.
I feel like the last time people who make threads worked at state farm was the 90s or something. Like most threads read like someone whos running off second hand info.
so sad this use to be a decent spot to discuss thing without retaliation.
If claims was downsizing it wouldnt be the dumping ground every time any non-claims department has a shred of downtime (only to be understaffed right after and having to frantically hire more people, most internals escaping the claims hellscape)
Anyone who works here can tell whos posting BS, whos not worked for the company for a VERY long time, and whos an actual employee posting here.
@g4 what underwriting department are you in?
Layoffs coming to Fire ILR/Team Managed! Customer Service ....... email came out today
@dm Ya Mammy like it. That's why ya mad.
This board has really gone downhill. This post, which is just from someone making up BS, and the responses are proof of same. Trying to get any useful information here is now a lost cause.
We found out today in U/W underwriters are not going to get severance. We can either take a claims job or they are going to let us go. More to come next week from my TM. I knew they would sc--w us over. Typical State Farm! I will never go to claims, complete and total h-ll hole!
If you are not a DEI check the box, 2040…we do not want you. Criteria…name has to start La…neck and chest tattoos, purple hair, transitioning, wear your pajamas to work, smell like weed, drive a a Nissan Altima or Kia Forte, Chevy Malibu, need a ADA accommodation, in mental counseling or have a MBA from the University of Phoenix…. You will be given severance if you do not meet these criteria !! Future is bright!!!!
No, they're going to increase hiring
Have you looked round lately? If you are note 2040 we don't want you!
No just U/W, Fire and Auto ILR! That is coming in about 2-3 weeks in the round of April layoffs.
Somebody, besides the agent and their staff, need to take customer phone calls. The simple fact these days is that agents are kept out of the loop. They do not get training and do not have system access for most of the issues customers call about. Customers want answers and have nowhere else to turn. It's ridiculous.
AILR and Express would be the likely target of any AI applications replacing humans. We tried to automate liability with 3-pet and got our a$$es handed to us by various DOIs so not sure how much of an impact AI could have on a specialist role.
There's not enough Specialists as it is though. AI doesn't answer any phone calls, but wouldn't the customers just love that? lol
Maybe para-prof roles could be affected.
Hearing from who?
