Curious how people usually spend their measly bonus? Do you put it in savings, book a vacation, pay bills?

@g1 save it , I take a roll per day in my pocketbook from the ladies room , it is about 10 -16 rolls per month.

@gn Maybe it's the taxes you speak of that are your problem here.
FU%K BNY Mellon bonus.
After paying income tax and property taxes, it’s all gone. I don’t consider it a “bonus”… it simply makes up for the poor wages during the rest of the year. If I didn’t get it I’d immediately put in my notice.

In the past I used it as emergency money to get us through the year, taxes, repairs, surprise bills and vacation. This year I’m investing some into Roth IRA, and a portion in high interest savings, possibly will add some silver to my precious metals IRA.

@af Sounds like you might need to learn to cook and save some money. Your lifestyle seems to be out of line with your income
I used mine at Jimmy John’s to add chips and a drink to my 8 inch Italian sub for only $1 extra. That’s leaves me with just enough to buy a chocolate chip cookie on my next visit! That’s all I can afford this year with my bonus.
