Don't worry about it, we'll cover it with more layoffs.
@OP $136B in Debt and building a new HQ for over $1B? Makes sense. . .
@f3 Cubes? Not a chance…..Big Stink wants to be Google so it’s open seating at cafeteria tables.
@ac I just threw up in my mouth. So cringe.
So we finally now have a limit on how many people the company has to retain.
"The 25-year agreement includes several requirements for AT&T, such as maintaining at least 4,000 full-time employees at the site."
And since corporate real estate assumes 20% of people will be gone on any given day, they only have to put up 3199 cubes and one giant collosal stank room.
If I lived in Plano, I’d be really frustrated that the money I pay in property taxes is going to corporate welfare.
I’d like to see the city spend those millions on something that benefits actual residents, not a CEO who wants to commute to the suburbs instead.
If AT&T wants to move its HQ, ok, but why should the government subsidize that? Sounds like socialism
Sorry I'm an outsider.
Isn't there already a att campus in Plano.
What is that building for versus what this new building is for?
MINIMUM of $1.35B. This will be way more than that -- all the glorious tariffs shine is wearing off and every industry (especially construction and materials) are going to shoot thru the roof between now and 2028. This will skyrocket above $1.35B.
Don't mess with Texas!
@a2
Loose is the opposite of tight.
Lose is the opposite of win.
Not being critical, just trying to help my fellow human.
No worries. The 💩 Stink will do his best - buy high, and sell low.
So he will spend $1.35B to build, then sell it to a leasing company for a shiny nickel, and pay $100M/Month rent. Loose-Loose on both ends, and waste as much $ as possible.
This is the way of the Stink!
