Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

How can we get the news to show what BNY had transformed into

This situation is deeply disheartening. I have not encountered a single employee here who is genuinely happy with their working conditions. What is even more concerning is the complete lack of external coverage or awareness regarding what the staff is going through.

While no job is perfect, it is demoralizing to realize that we are all unhappy, yet nothing changes. Instead, we just face increased pressure that makes us feel entirely disposable. I truly hope this workplace can organize and unionize in the future so that employees have better protections and receive a fair severance package if they are let go.

Just from searching around…these are probably the most effective to go to.

@ah exactly BNY caters to the elite class, institutions, government and uber wealthy. Employees are an afterthought, a number on a spreadsheet. No one is going to speak up for disgruntled employees and they know it and they know people won’t do anything about it. Employees will endure this place as long as they can, leave or get laid off.

Here’s a newsworthy topic that deserves media attention from major news outlets. It is a segment on tech outsourcing / offshoring in the US business economy.

Below is a list of urgent concerns impacting the banking and tech markets, especially global companies where business models depend largely on the use of offshore labor.

Discussion may include:

  • The growing trend of offshoring jobs to developing countries, which has led to concerns over job insecurity and fair wages.

  • Economic and financial implications of offshoring, including the impacts on unemployment and declining wages in the US.

  • The globalization of jobs which is reshaping the US labor market and the social mobility among the working class.

If there are other journalists or news media following BNY layoffs, questionable business practices and legal concerns, including wrongful termination, then please share your contact information on this site.

The media does not care. Witness how they lie and act like the economy and job market are just fine. They are in cahoots with the government to avoid panic, recession and/or a full-on depression.

The media doesn’t care. All they care about is their fluffy pieces and positive stories about their advertisers… They’re a bunch of hacks.

No one outside of BNY employees care about BNY. Why would they?...the company has nothing to offer the general public.

Because the media and so called journalists are on the side of BNY and many companies like it. When you see news outlets bemoaning and angry at the H1B visa restrictions put out lately, you know they aren’t on your side or Americans. Our news media is pure garbage and independent reporting is dead. All articles look like they were written by the same person or AI bot. Far better to just report BNY to all the regulatory agencies, commissions (SEC), attorney generals and watchdog agencies.
