My manager called me for Christmas today. Said that he wanted to give me a Christmas gift but unfortunately it was in the form of an advanced notice that 1/6 will be my last day. Not sure how many getting laid off that day but he said it was going to be a lot as the bank continues its shift towards embracing the use of AI.
