@q4 I was told the same by my ED, that if I told anyone, I risked losing my severance.

Dang. I’d ask that AVP to put that in writing. The policy specifically ENCOURAGES the impacted employees to consult an attorney.
@kw I was impacted in January, when my AVP did the corporate script “this was a financial decision, not performance based,” she said if I talked to anyone about this, I risked losing my severance.
Did the people laid off in late January receive severance? I’ve heard that some people did and others did not. How is severance determined if it is not provided to all impacted by a layoff?
@k0 go back and read some of the post from January, there’s a comment telling us 2 days prior of what areas of bank would be getting hit.
@k1 no one knows specifics on layoffs until a few days prior. When the January layoffs happened, it wasn’t until the 26th when someone posted specifics. A few areas did catch everyone by surprise. Also back on October 29th, if you could read between the lines of the corporate jargon the bank president was spewing, he guaranteed layoffs will happen in January, they did. If you follow USAA’s history since late 2022, they’ve been doing 3 rounds of layoffs a year.
@eh no I’m not…keep up with the site. People are making the same claims every week. So when layoffs happen to occur on that week, it looks like there’s knowledge when in reality it’s apart of the same noise.
The people before had specifics. Cosa/ teams/ jobs approximate week and would state it months in advance. Now it’s at best “lay offs next year” or “lay offs in Q2”. Well, duh. Those layoff times have been the same time since 2021.
@ek a broke clock is right twice a day. Again when someone/ people are screaming layoffs every week, ya it’s bound to look like some intentional connection when in reality it’s random.
@bw this site warned us about the January 28th layoffs a few days in advance.
@bw the accuracy
No. This site has turned into a mess. The couple of people that used to actually know when layoffs occurred, one left the company and the other got laid off. Since then, it’s been a disaster of conspiracy theories and every week someone swearing “it’s this week”.
No. Just routine terminations
