Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

No raise for 2026?

I have been working at The Bank for over a year now so this is my first time being eligible for a raise. I started in August 2024. Did anybody else not get a raise? I’m trying to understand if it’s just me or is it something that is quite common at The Bank. I’ve never not received a raise at my previous companies. Your input will help. I receive a meets/meets on my annual review

@eb not true. I have exceed this year and lees bonus and raise than last year with "meet". also, I'm not the only person in the team who received "exceed". And those who has "meet" still got increase. And for everyone it is low (1-3%)

I got a sorry a-s 1.5%, not even close to inflation. This place su-ks. I assume with the labor market tightening and their big bullsh-t promise to investors to reduce expenses they feel they don’t need to be competitive.

If you are getting a raise year after year it means you are making less than the people in your org and ban. Once you stop getting raises it means it's time to get promoted or change orgs.

Got a bigger raise this year than in the last 10 years but my manager did also say some folks weren't getting anything this year as a result. Kinda left a sour taste in my mouth about it. The way he framed it was that it was only very few people, but from the posts here it sounds more widespread. Hmm.

It’s not you and it’s not common in general. But this specific year it is common, most areas and not giving raises to people over a certain point in their band. My first full year I got a raise and have gotten one since. I’m not happy to not get one this year, but since it’s not just me it’s not as big of a deal. Plus the market is horrible, I would rather have something than nothing at this point.

Only one of you on the team is allowed to get an exceeds. Under. Toms instruction , its winner takes all. There are pay increases. Your team mate got theirs and yours.

Such contempt from the top to freeze pay increases then look you in the eye oblivious to your pain. It’s an insult to dignity. People are worn down. It’s a combination of excessive demands and no reward. Bullied into having to do “extra” which is only to serve Jess’s career advancement. If you quit, that’s considered a successful outcome.

Has anyone not have a convo yet with their manager regarding bonus or increase?

It's a miserable time of year. Done with the ever changing goals. Jessica with her "go have to do extra" to get extra only to get zero two years in a row.

this is why you have to come in at the highest salary (not total comp. Salary!) as you can b/c once in the door, you will never see any meaningful increase.

Just treading backwards year after year due to no raise and inflation chipping down your paycheck.

You pretty much have to leave to get more money.

Almost 20 years here - this is the first year I received no merit increase (M/M).

Started around the same time as OP. Second year in a row no raise. Same bonus and RSU’s as last year. Yet, last year’s comp was only based on a few months, and this was an entire full year. Trying to stay positive as I am thankful to have a job in this market, as well as to be able to receive a bonus and RSU’s in general. However, I worked exponentially harder this year and I know that I deserve a raise and/or at least a higher bonus. Disappointing to say the least. But, hey, at least I got told I’m appreciated. Ha.

I started in July 2025 and received 3% with M/M but my manager did say they considered me E/E and the M/M was only due to short tenure
