@1xn bruh, let me help you paste the rest of Deuteronomy 28.

45 All these curses will come on you. They will pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the Lord your God and observe the commands and decrees he gave you. 46 They will be a sign and a wonder to you and your descendants forever. 47 Because you did not serve the Lord your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity,

@19k - it’s all L1 L1 L1 L1 L1 ….

….. transfers into US from HGR, primarily India. That’s the talent pipeline. And yes peanuts and the lure of Green Card.

And H1B is what grabs the headlines :D :D :D

@12c VK is doing the same things that his white predecessors put in placed because he is a good ole Indian Raj. VK does not have a single original thought in his head other than following the blueprint his old boss set in place. Let’s not bring race into it when economics explain why Honeywell is failing. Indians are willing to accept more abuse in exchange for peanuts and the promise of a GC, which is really extracting maximum productivity from workers to enrich the ruling class. Happens in China, Japan and everywhere else too.

@105 how comes I don't see the brown guys/Indians leading any part of Honeywell in China/South Korea or Japan?
Show me any Indian in leadership roles in China/South Korea or Japan?
I have an explanation for this.

@105 Cote and DA are long gone and the culture has only gotten worse. VK and his team own it now.

@e8 you must be new here, so let me explain to you these two guys Cote and Adamcyzk who perpetuated the GE culture of “Profit at all costs”. They started the tradition of moving most of the high paying technical jobs to India to lower the cost base, keep their shareholders happy and were rewarded millions in bonus and stock options. Honeywell’s pay and benefits is too pitiful to recruit and maintain local talent. VK was literally handpicked by DA to be his successor. But hey, let’s blame the brown guys because they look different from you. SMH

@vf Eventually they wont need the labor - correct. But they will never leave. The powers that be will figure out a way to give them the vote and get them on welfare. That will be their new job.

A lot of these people would rather die then go back home and they will form coalitions to divide and conquer the spoils. The Romans understood this and used it to conquer their enemies.

@yh In one sentence:

If you are playing soccer and some of your team mates only pass the ball to each other, eventually you will stop scoring goals.

They have to go back.

High-trust societies are essentially optimized for a world where everyone plays by the same unwritten rules. This makes them incredibly efficient, but also highly vulnerable to exploitation.

If a low-trust dynamic enters the mix, where individuals or groups operate on suspicion, opportunism, or gaming the system, the high-trust society faces a structural crisis:

  1. Exploitation: The unwritten rules are treated as loopholes. A system built on the honor system gets hollowed out by those who don't value honor.
  2. Defensive Retreat: To protect itself, the high-trust society has to start building walls. It introduces heavy regulations, surveillance, security, and strict legal verification.

Once a society is forced to adopt the defensive, suspicious posture of a low-trust system to survive, it ceases to be a high-trust society. The lower standard almost always wins out because defensive suspicion is contagious, while institutional trust takes centuries to build and only a moment to shatter.

@t5 I've lived and worked in half a dozen countries and can say that this is spot on. "High trust societies rarely survive encounters with low trust societies."

You can live in America with a green card forever. I don’t even need to be a citizen.
They found a way to bring in cheap labor. Eventually, they won’t need these people anymore. Our society will become like the movie I robot.

@th any visa fraud or misrepresentation needs to be stopped ASAP, and with force. Not sure though about your other broad brush comments….

Especially, if you are in IT/tech, good luck trying to find your White department or company. Things are really not very different from what you are seeing in those European football teams in the World Cup :D ….

@qq what you are missing is that they consider ethics as hindrance, they brag about how they can rip off customers and get away with it. In their society is a symbol of being smart if you can conn a customer or throw under the bus internal employees, blame them and get away with it.
This kind of behavior is not frawned upon actually it is encouraged in their society.

Check what they do in H1B system, L1A (they call individual contributers as managers in title even though they have no direct report but they need to be managers for L1A), check what they did to Canada with fake marriages to get perm. residency (https://www.visalaw.com/blog-archive/canada-marriage-scams-rampant-in-india/) - CANADA: MARRIAGE SCAMS RAMPANT IN INDIA

So, the only way is to stop them from getting out and send them back.

@qq I hear you.

My solution is just to be a Yes Man, divert their scheming energy to something else or someone else and cover my a-s to get everything in writing. It's honestly too far past the point of no return with the amount of them that have infested the company. I'm collecting the paycheck while I can and looking for something else.

It pains me to say it but I feel like my next role has to be at a primarily White American company. I don't like being made to feel like a foreigner in my own country or that trying to be ethical will result in a worse outcome for me.

@p0 same here, I feel I am just for diversity, but I am surprised by lack of ethics of indian folks, they will try to find any way possible to ripp off our customers, and to climb corporate ladder.

That’s correct; non-white H1B immigration—most visibly from India, and some from
China—has been building up over time. Now into second generation in colleges etc.

And in the workplace, an Indian or non-white person does not necessarily mean H1B or L1 visa. Many are permanent residents or have naturalized.

HON though maybe somewhat unique because of its India Office base and moving people to the US, as someone explained in this thread …

L1 visa is for intra-company transfers. If you have worked in HGR in HON for one year, you are eligible to transfer into the US and get into the green card pipeline.

@OP - I think by focusing on H1B you are missing the elephant in the room: the L1 visa. And unlike H1B (which hogs the news), the L1 visa has no quantity limitation.

This constant influx of L1 visas is supported by the way the experience pipeline is structured. The fact is that employees in global support departments in high growth (India, Czech, Romania, etc.) actually acquiring the experience needed to fill into mid-level leadership positions in the US. And that experience pipeline is not building in the US. This is what needs to be understood.

Don’t worry about it. Midterms are taking place.

These id--ts were spending the next two years trying to impeach Trump. So you’re basically, have six months of an investigation. Done deal. Unfortunate for the rest of us, two years of impeachment trials.

I have to get outside more. Maybe, work more overtime at Honeywell.

@e0 so are you saying somehow India has the smartest people out of 120 countries that Honeywell was operating? Cause 70% of all H1B in US are from India and if this stat is not enough, check all leadership positions at Honeywell, they are indians.
So somehow, Indian overrepresention is on all H1B in US and in the leadership roles at Honeywell.
Can you explain?

I don’t think H1B Fraud is really a big issue though there of course are some exceptions. In HON the situation is not Fraud, it’s hiring or bringing over the wrong people. There is nothing inherently wrong or bad with tech workers from India but at this point the people that are truly world class talent are going to get global market rates for their comp.

You will find maybe 2-5% fraud among all h1b. That will be replaced with genuine h1b workers next year so this is not going to change anyway
