Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

What is happening to T&D in Edinburgh?

What are the future plans for T&D in Edinburgh? The fact that we are currently based in a WeWork office, which is a co-working space, does not seem very promising..

Where is the head of Depo in UK? Not been available for weeks now and a bit of a headless chicken of a department.

367g must be HR or a COO that's very detailed and accurate information

@bg if any of those are likely it’s option 3, even then I don’t think they’d allow to all be remote for a while. It’s a unique function as I’ve been told. Also had a couple of bad audits and therefore a bit of a nuisance for the legal entity they are in, so while the location and office might not be wanted, they will keep them going into an office so it doesn’t implode more than it already has and likely will continue doing.

If BNY holds true to form, one of three things will happen: 1. Office will be closed and everyone will be terminated immediately, 2. Office will be closed and employees will be given option to relocate or be considered resigned, or 3. Office will be closed and employees will be allowed to WFH for a period of time before ultimately being let go.
In any event, you’re pooched!

I wouldn’t trust in a long term plan to keep TD staff in Edinburgh.
Pretty sure they’re planning to transfer work elsewhere over the next 12 months.

@OP Depo stays in Edinburgh. How many and where is the unknown. Current temporary arrangement expensive and a stop gap
