Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Do not take the employee survey

Just found out that they drill up to location and grade level on survey results and HR sees even further. Do not take the survey as you just put the target on your back. Anonymous my a-s.

@s9 you can do whatever you want to. But if you can document what you've said and then retaliation from anywhere any pro bono lawyer that could get their hands on that would be absolutely giddy. The bank will settle over sh-t like this. They'll do ANYTHING to avoid bad publicity

@s0
This is terrible advice. Everyone knows going to HR is putting an even larger target on your back. Just don’t take the surveys. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t, but not taking them is the safest bet.

@ay then you need to skip the questions and put in a comment that you're only taking it due to harassment from your management.

They'll probably stop because that's a bad look for them. If they retaliate you take it to HR or call the ethics line.

@qx unless I see direct action from the MC coming out of these horrendously terrible results I will not be taking another survey. I've been very up front with my leadership that I don't understand what the point of it is if they're going to do the exact opposite of what people have continually asked for.

They hosed over all the remote employees and froze their careers. They severely limited raises and underfunded bonuses. They've continually laid people off and shown us that no, people actually don't come first. They've laughed at us when we've gotten upset. They've mocked us. They've taken away pieces of health insurance coverage and the policy keeps getting more expensive. On top of the shift in RTO expectations. They've forced us in to mold infested, decrepit hubs where most of us don't even sit with our own peers because they diversified hiring 10+ years ago due to cr-p talent pools in our footprint. They refuse to compensate anything for gas or parking. There aren't even tissues, the bathrooms are constantly out of soap. The markets have nothing but gross and expensive processed food, and there are cameras up in them to prevent their disgustingly underpaid employees from stealing.

But yet they have the audacity to not understand why the scores are low and why the MC has abysmal approval ratings.

It’s simple. Just say no thank you I will pass on the survey.

That’s it.

Don’t open the email and ignore it.

Be polite and firm about it. It doesn’t have to be complicated or messy.

@e7 I like that... I'm using that.

@at I'm going to take a wild guess here and say that if the scores are that bad and HR is involved there's something bigger afoot. Like something they're trying to protect the company from. That's the only reason I can think that HR would be involved after horrendous survey scores. Likely trying to protect from a lawsuit.

None of the questions on the survey are required. Don't answer them if you're so inclined. And if you're in a group that gets nagged about reaching 100% participation, leave a comment at the end about how you fear retaliation if you answer honestly.

@OP to be fair, the survey instructions are clear that the survey is ‘confidential’ not anonymous. Would it help if they put a rider of (confidential does not mean anonymous) on the instructions probably yes given most folk incorrectly interpret the survey as being anonymous.

Bugs me that we’re all now responsible for improving the scores when the things that are driving the low scores (MC contempt for employees, strategy from the dark ages ‘we’ve got the biggest revolution in work since the steam engine, I know let’s do what every other bank did 25yrs ago and offshore to India’, comp and RTO designed to increase attrition) are completely out of our control.

The beatings will continue until morale improves

@ap You can lol all you want, there are survey champions and survey ambassadors across the company who are responsible for reviewing the survey results and creating action plans based on them. It's not a secret, it's a thing that's been happening for years. Go lol your way to your leadership team. I'm sure they'll faint from surprise that you might seem to be volunteering for something.

@ay well if it’s anonymous like they say they won’t know you did it or not

I dont feel i have the option to skip. My group gets hounded by management until we are at 100% participation. I have never trusted its anonymous. If there are less than positive results we meet as a group to discuss the results almost in the hopes that we out ourselves. I also dont believe negative results will drive better benefits and pay. In the last town hall gunjan said she hears we really dont like rto and hate ip tracking. Her reply was she needs to explain better!

@aw Why? when all they do if you lie is use it to pat themselves on their backs to even further cut your salaries and benefits or what’s left of it? Either give them the business or skip it.

Take the survey, lie your a$$ off (nothing changes anyway), get your gold star and move on with your day. Let them have their circlej--kreading how great they are. Absolutely not worth stressing over.

@a4 I know this because poor results were shared for a team I can’t name of over 2k people and they are drilling down to grade, location and having HR come in with more info to give even more detail. Those not engaged enough and too negative looking to leave. Basically the group received horrendous ratings and 45-50% of the group is looking for other opportunities and you know they are panicking at this point if they are drilling down to know who.

If this actually is the case they could be looking at lawsuits if you can prove it.

We all know the surveys are absolutely not anonymous. You can give honest feedback but like, be professional about it.

As a survey ambassador who reviews the results, this sure is an interesting take. I've never once seen or heard of anything of that nature.

I knew it and as much as I want to tell them off for their mismanagement I just don’t take the survey cause it’s not worth my blood pressure rising.
