@1f7 That is false. They are tracking way beyond when you badge in and badge out. The person above is correct, they are now widget tracking (Activity), actions, what sites you visit internally, and basically tracking everything you do (clicks keyboard strokes). Then using that to calculate a productivity score. It started in Tech but is now moving beyond.

There is no productivity tracking -only days and hours

Yes, humans pretending to be doing S, and playing with AI in the process, is now what's expected in corp America. Like everything else HY pushes, it's a complete waste of time and only makes the place seem like more of a joke. They know this, but are cool with it because the insanity of it all just might convince a few more people to quit.

@e1 This is true. I got a "talking to" from my boss for the most recent report they had from Q4 2025, showing I was only "turning widgets" for an average of 16 hours a week. This is probably true, but my job is not a widget turning one, which I told her that. A lot of it is reading, studying, providing suggestions after gathering info, none of which involves a lot of widget turning. Their suggestion was to gather notes in OneNote, run it through CoPilot to generate a summary / synthesis, do the same for emails, etc. Basically a bunch of nonsense to "appear busy". Truthfully, I'm hoping for a layoff.

Oh, the tools that they're using to monitoring (per a connection in Technology) are Alteryx and Skan.AI. Do a Google search on how those are used to monitor "in app" activities. My connection said it can get down to a sub-process level, such as "In Outlook - read email", "In Outlook - sent email", "In Excel, did updates, created a pivot, formatted", etc. Pretty granular monitoring.

@ax there is also productivity tracking as well. If you are not turning widgets for a certain amount of time each day managers are required to address that now too. They can now see how much time, which office and how many widgets you are turning.

All about control, nothing about being productive. PS- BE looked to be in very poor health, money says she's not here by this time next year.

@bh so I could start a meeting and then sit in an all day and they will think I am an executive?

People managers can see their teams rolling down under them.

The average time is actually an average of the number of hours you spend at work in your in-office days (measured with your badge swipes).

There IS dashboard in production that shows EVERY action - from time in applications, what you do on teams, outlook, calendar to measure time and engagement, but can't verify if managers have access to it.

I’ve seen the dashboard available to my manager in CTO. They are only a +1 so I would assume anyone with an actual Manager title has access to this bare minimum data.

It is color coded interface, has a grid for the selected week in the middle. They can select various weeks. It shows an aggregate in % of if you’re swiping in at your assigned location. The hours aggregate is very easy to see about middle-top-ish and it will say 8+ for making the 8 and then varying 7.5, etc reflecting your time in office.

I didn’t see anything with actual time stamps or accounting for lunch badge outs, building changes or such. It’s a reasonable summary snapshot for the managers to me.

Assume we use the most unsophisticated methods and tools possible to track. Assume they do the minimum to track

In the Technology LOB, all managers are required to review their team’s access badge clock-in and clock-out records daily. They must also monitor WiFi usage through the designated portal. Managers are responsible for identifying and flagging team members who are not complying with RTO requirements. A consolidated report must be submitted at the end of each week, every Friday.

@aq so depends on their level?

Some managers can and some managers can't. You should assume they can see everything.

It’s all on the honor system. Just send your manager your hours and days in the office every Friday. You will be fine

Does anyone know if activity/productivity tracking is being rolled out?

No, just if you hit the report or not.

Maybe higher ups can see more.l, but haven't heard anyone getting questioned as long as they hit the minimum to stay off the report.

Anything more stringent is manager dependent, or if you're in the same location.

Can managers see our badge swipes in general? If we swipe out for lunch and come back

Ive been told they only receive escalations if someone didn’t make their 8 hour average, otherwise they don’t receive an update.

no, managers just see high level details and averages as well as locations you badged in at. there are more detailed reports that senior management and HR have access too that go into more details.
