Those of us who have survived the last 2 years have gone through so many layoffs/reorgs it's hilarious and also sad. The entirety of FY26 has been a huge vacuous nothing across tech. Yeah, no sh1t EH, we are all tired of change.
If you see a hole approaching your way, don't stare at it, look for options.
This a tip my dad gave me when teaching how to ride a bike, but useful in corporate life too
@dw combine that with potential loss of savings and loosing gains in life goals just like in '97 '02 '08 with unemployment this stuff su-ks.
If job offers were more than scams or Nike recruiters begging for resumes to jobs we all know aren't hiring really makes it worse

Yeah. The waiting, scrounging, and scrimping 'just in case' is really wearing on me and my family. We have a healthy emergency savings fund, but constantly telling people no we can't afford this or that until we know if I have a job or not is emotionally exhausting, as is not knowing if any work I do for the next week will even matter or be kept.
