Posting this info because I didn't see a definite answer on how much severance pay we will get if let go during the layoffs. My boss just told me that when the last layoff happened , and my coworker was let go from our department , he received TWO weeks pay for severance. He was with Xerox for about a year and a half to two years. SMH . Wishing everybody luck job hunting and getting the he-l out if this company !

how can employees volunteer for something if you do not know the facts prior to agreeing? Most states will put all the facts (package) out there so you can then make the best decision for you and your Family?
What are they hiding?
@dn no it’s not

If you receive the severance for 12 weeks, is health care included in this?
This is all explained in HR policy.
@a2 not in Canada!
@a2 Not in the UK :)
Pretty sure severance was just eliminated going forward
I was laid off on February 12th. I worked there for eight years and received six weeks of severance.
@a2 Just wanted to give a ballpark on what to expect.
@OP the person was lucky to get two weeks if they only worked at X for less than two years. Severance is maxed out at 12 weeks, you could have worked at X for 50 years, and only get 12 weeks. So that is really disgrace
