“ To make things equal you will RTO. It’s just a simple fact”

No, at 100 miles away, I will not. I will continue to report once a month with no complaints. If/ when they tell me I need to do it 5 days a week, that will be it for me. And that will be fine.

“You may have another year or so as NVW, but eventually you will not be anymore… “

See above , that’s fine.

@dr haven’t see a single NVW job posted. I check everyday. You’re delusional. Now get packing you’re headed to Plano.

You RTO sweatshoppers are delusional. They are advertising NVW job openings as we speak, but you somehow think it is all going away just because you can't stand that everyone is not as miserable as you. Sorry, but the company only wants MOST of the employees to quit. There are a small minority they are desperate to keep. Stop wallowing in the fact that you are not among them. It is only hurting you. Spend your energy finding a job elsewhere, this place is headed for bankruptcy or a buyout/breakup regardless of how fair the WFH/RTO policy is.

@cn

If your going to make someone come into the office 5x week, give them an assigned place they can sit and leave things overnight.

Couldn't agree more. In my career, I've worked at companies where I've had:

  • 1, 2, and 3 person "private" offices
  • cubes with dividers on 3 sides

But never in my life before this have I seen:

  • people not even assigned a place to sit
  • seating without even a divider next to the person next to you
  • cubes with dividers only on 2 sides and seat arrangements where if you back up your chair, you hit the back of someone else

It's by far the worst office experience I've ever seen in my life. Many people I know who complain about working in the office 5x are complaining MORE about the office conditions when they get to the office than just having to be there 5x.

As you said, the company definitely doesn't get it.

@cq 😂😂😂 are you new here? They don’t care about retaining talent, most has already walked out the door. Also hilarious you think they’ll pay you to relocate. Good luck!

Virtual here.
If they have talent they want to retain, and want to give our letters, then they need to provide relocation assistance.

I’ll relocate to Plano if they pay me to.

Virtual here. I did not receive a letter, but met with my boss this morning and was told to expect one some time this year.

people are pi---d about the two different sets of rules.

And not only two different sets of rules but refusing of HR to tell you what the rules even are. Some people get assigned offices for various reasons (often it's medical related) but others get ones for reasons nobody will tell you. I asked for the rules and nobody would give me them in writing.

Other people really don't so much care about going into the office except for the working conditions that make it hard if not impossible to work. The collaboration argument is such a joke given you normally aren't even sitting next to people you work with. And even if you are, the noise makes it hard to work. Does anyone really want to have to sit at a desk with headsets on all day?

The company just doesn't get it. If your going to make someone come into the office 5x week, give them an assigned place they can sit and leave things overnight. How hard is that? Instead, everyone is like a traveling salesperson packing and unpacking things every day.

@ce since you aren’t in the office you wouldn’t know this, but people are pi---d about the two different sets of rules. To make things equal you will RTO. It’s just a simple fact. You may have another year or so as NVW, but eventually you will not be anymore… for this company anyway.

@ce maybe not, but it might get yours taken away. You can’t have two sets of rules and call it equal. Your time as virtual is limited.

Virtuals are not going anywhere. Keep dreaming. Be more valuable and less envious of the success of others. Bitterness is not going to get you a virtual designation.

“ Yes, they were. There will be no virtual or NVWs left going forward“

The above completely made up by the “I despise all NVWs” guy who posts here regularly with dates that come and go.

NVW here. No letter. No notice. Still once a month. Hugs and kisses.
