All, we have heard we are shutting down India within the next year or two. CVX is taking the the top performers and we will need to look elsewhere.

EMHC needs to shut down because of its toxic culture and brain dead zombie crowd.
BTC is better than houston...houston has bunch of overpaid id--t who only know how to talk sh-t...while BTC has indian engineer that do real work and bring value to exxon..if exxon want to shutdown TC, KLTC will go first...KLTC bring no value to exxon..
AI is able to do what engineers in low cost tech centers can do, so all of those jobs will go to AI and be managed by high skilled engineers in the US. Will be hard for the folks in low cost centers.
@dj if you just drop in “globalist” like it’s an epithet, I immediately assume you have a room temperature IQ and the reason you hate opening up to other countries is because you constantly get scammed by their emails and phone calls because you lack the critical thinking ability to stop it from happening.
Public and Government Affairs must be in the Chat Room. No need to fear or intimidate posts if you disagree with the post. Just ignore the post.
@dj Yeah…garden variety fringe/conspiracy driven BS that you’re posting on every thread. Yawn….
This is what happens when you retire and you have no hobbies, no friends, and your kids want nothing to do with you. Don’t be like this guy.
Inner klansman?! You been watching maddow and cnn to much. Sounds like you live in an echo chamber and protected or just don’t care. Globalist run this company just like many others. You’re shooting yourself in the foot if you believe other wise.
I've worked with a bunch of orgs on the contracting side and I have to day what I put of Exxon's BTC is massively incompetent. More than most other operators. Not sure what's going on but y'all better fix it soon.
BTC is working much better than everyo e thought, if looked at overall. the caost value proposition is unbeatable and the people have an open heart and mind, not filled with hate.
@cg Can you or someone else who keeps shouting from the proverbial soapbox about this supposed cutting-edge engineering capability at Exxon please explain where it comes from?
All I’ve ever seen engineers at large operating companies do is edit/forward technical specs to vendors and call consultants whenever they see a blip in plant process data. Are those of us who actually do engineering for a living missing something? Like bro being able to read a graph and copy/paste wording from API/ISO can be done by almost anyone.
@c8 yeah that won’t happen. They can barely weld. Engineering is a long ways off.
Oh yeah and as for racism Dubul' ibhunu ki-l the boer right?
And as for Indian tolerance…. https://www.hrw.org/news/2024/01/11/india-increased-abuses-against-minorities-critics
@OP The only way this happens is if they find a place with even cheaper labor.
I can’t wait to see how you people react when they start sending jobs to…

That’ll really bring out the inner klansman in all of you REs/NREs/washed-up geezers.
EM Executives praising BTC like it is great while forbidding any tracking of all the hours making corrections or actually doing the work in Spring then sending the output to BTC to be presented as if originated in BTC.
There are too many “improve BTC’s quality” action teams led by important managers to make this true. Exxon is dug-in on India and doubling-down to make it work.
That is some VP’s “baby”.
It won’t die that easily.
@OP It takes very little talent to do an O&G office job.
I think you misspelled 'Houston' or 'United States'
Don’t believe it. It’s the money savings and not skills they care about.
