I am interviewing for a marketing position. Can someone please provide me any numbers on the bonuses that wealth management marketing receives. The salary is little bit higher than what I am making. HR mentioned the bonus % is anywhere between 25-40% of base salary. This is for SVP position.

I’m a SVP in WM and my bonus is about 75%. I don’t think you will see anything like that in Pgh.
@ey it costs me $6 a day to park at the North shore and take the T into town. There's a station directly below the building.
Note that cash is capped at ~50k. Rest will be paid with 25% per year vesting RSU. So do the math if you are calculating your yearly, as it will take 4 years to full ramp up (and you will always forfeit 3+ years) when you leave.
You'll like Pittsburgh.. I can't garentee the same about working at BNY..
@dn I’m an SVP in WM and I can attest to the bonus payout. Mine is around 50% each year divided between cash and RSU.
I’m an SVP at BNY. This is accurate. More towards the higher end.
@dy definitely not a s$&?hole, for people who have never seen Pittsburgh they’re usually surprised that it’s as nice as it is. Not as many amenities as a bigger city like ATL but it’s a nice place to live. Look for a place to the north for a home, especially if you can find a place just outside of Allegheny County, Butler County taxes are a lot lower and compared to Atlanta traffic it’ll seem like nothing.
You will also be required to go to the office 4 days per week. Parking is expensive and the building location su-ks. There are no assigned desks (it is a hot desking situation) and there are not enough desks. They only have enough room for 60% of the workforce and forced everyone back 4 days a week in office anyway. You do not have the ability to print- you have to ask for specific, temporary permission. They don't want to pay for paper. And in the most recent bout of layoffs seemed to target everyone over 50 in my department.
Dear interviewing SVP,
Happy failures!
You are warned.
You’re a SVP and you are using this website to get information? You should fit right in with BNY. Welcome aboard!
Sorry but you were crazy if you’re relocating for Bny unless you’re completely out of work right now… There is less than zero job security at this place
I mean, read this board
Can someone from marketing department in Pittsburgh tell me about more about the culture? I am moving from Atlanta to Pittsburgh for the job and want to make sure that I am not walking into s--thole and stuck in Pittsburgh? They are paying some money for relocating. Also, how frequently do I have to travel to headquarters. The buildings looks nice
I wouldn't trust a recruiter. Get it from the hiring managers' mouth.
SVP bonus varies a lot at this bank (and every bank at this level). 25-30% is possible for meet even in tech. I don't doubt WM can hit 40%. In before people come in complaining that their tech bonus is 10-15%. Not every job is the same, if you are a UI/UX, you'll get nothing. If you are machine learning or GenAI, your bonus will be much higher just market dynamics.
All I can say is I don’t work in the marketing department but both times I was d-mb enough to work for Bny, the bonus percentage The recruiter told me I was eligible for I never received and when I questioned both of my managers, they laughed, saying I don’t know where the recruiter got that figure from. I know a number of people that were lied to about their bonus eligibility percentage.
I tell you this because I would assume it is at the low end of that range at best.
All money isn't good money. Read this site then read it again. Unless you really need this job, think twice.
@aq I am associate in wealth management marketing and my bonus % is around 25% of my base salary. My boss mentioned that once you hit 52k bonus rest of the money is paid in RSUs. For SVP you will get higher but RSUs also.
That percentage is high for an SVP.
