Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Will PepsiCo sell Quaker?

In yesterday's global town hall, Ramon did not give a categorical yes or no when asked about the question of selling Quaker. His answer went around in circles. I hope we keep Quaker, it is a good brand with the right marketing support.

When they closed the Danville, IL Quaker plant, when the issues could have been remediated, I think that signaled the company's direction with Quaker. That culture is so different from Frito's that I just don't think Foods knows what to do with it, and Pep egos are just too big to allow it to run itself again as it used to be with Gatorade and Trop. Add to that little profit growth and I think they could sell off Quaker sooner rather than later.

We just spent the past 5 years and over $750mm to align our business via pgt, much of that including Quaker. I highly doubt we’d sell all of Quaker. It’ll be the small potatoes like pearl milling

Have to be some sacrificial lambs for Elliott, no matter the merit. That one is probably sealed given so prominently called out.

Sad because outside a big company....probably will bestripped down and sold for spare parts by private equity guys
