Hybrid Policy

Any news on the hybrid policy and potential changes to it? I’ve heard rumors, but they swirl all the time. I feel like it was this time last year they made some significant changes.

With costs continuing to rise, all associates who weren’t lucky enough to be allowed to continue to work from home for one reason or another (seems like the rules change depending on who you are) are suffering.

As an associate who was hired to work from home, I am trying to wrap my mind around what the company is trying to accomplish. I do not see a whole lot of collaborating going on in the office - in fact most associates are sitting in cubicles on top of each other, all on different calls.

Heard nothing about a policy change but I hope it will involve improved motion detected lights. I work later hours and at night sometimes I'm working in complete darkness. If someone breaks in and tries to mu---r me I won't even see them coming.

@e9 They’re more driven by the almighty dollar.

Did anyone else get the survey about your PulsePoint? It included such things as if it is set up that allows you to do your work. Is it too hot or too cold, too loud? How is the tech? No one else that I talk to in my PulsePoint got it. However, they do have me out of the wrong office. (I have tried to get it changed with the past 4 managers and an HR ticket) The wrong PulsePoint office is under renovation and that is all I can figure out.

@dk - company is concerned about control.

The company is concerned about its corporate clients, and whether they can continue to purchase health insurance programs. Forcing our associates to commute to an office keeps revenues flowing to many client industries (automotive, commercial real estate, restaurant, garment, petroleum, outdoor communications, state/local government, etc.) Your personal commuting sacrifice helps to fund your AIP and ELT bonuses. All the collaboration hot air is simply a smokescreen. Not sure why they can’t fess up to the reality of the situation.
