I talked to friends in mortgage and csbb that were let go.
ITSO under Gillott. Best ones had been let go and filtered out while only the useless empty headed sediments remain. Already was spiraling downward with ruthless manipulative leaderships under him. Time to close that entire org with few remaining experienced employees applying outside and fleeing the tyrants. No longer feel safe. It all looks like some staged drama with talents targeted and made to feel small. Nice try to make people leave voluntarily and sacking them if they still persist.
CSBB tech US remote (location strategy) was hit hard. No working notice, they are just gone. We were told they would be backfilled in India but at the moment our releases are on hold.

I was let go today. I felt a sense if relief🧘

Update on Oregon. Some people at my site were given notice today, but it seems like a small fraction of the overall people left. A few folks on my team were included.
CT security got hit big time
Small Business announced discontinuing their Small Business Advantage (line of credit) product. Said they are keeping most of the people to finish and then moving them to other products/roles, but are letting a handful go, who were noticed today. Haven’t heard about the working or non working notice period for them.
Am in business and can confirm tech is imploding before our eyes and we’re watching once great partners getting run down so hopefully these very important leaders actually listen

I got one....in CSBB. Still in shock really.
I'm in Oregon at one of the sites that's closing by end of year. So far not a peep this morning. No e-mail or unexpected meeting added to my calendar.
I just heard tech senior leaders in Charlotte due to the massive negative impact made on the business due to previous layoffs!
CT tech received pink slip this morning.
maybe their focussing on the west coast today so give it a few more hours.

Diversity consultant/trainer caught in profane tirade at McDonald’s. This happened in Ypsilanti. She’d just attended a HR conference in Detroit with inadequate food offerings.

She’s still employed but her coworkers (who could be compared to nervous Polynesian villagers living on the slopes of a volcano) keep an offering of Snickers bars handy in case they see storm clouds gathering on her face.
