Survey results

It’s crickets out there. What’s the feedback? What are we doing to MOVE with URGENCY and address feedback?

@db Reporting the TTUS survey as phishing is still better than taking it. They don't care about what you tank. They only care about engagement. Why do you think they decreased frequency? Oldest trick in the book. Anytime you want to hide trending, manipulate reporting so there can no longer be apples to apples comparisons.

@dr what exactly do you expect them to do? They can raise all the he-l they want to and it's going to do absolutely nothing.

Managers have provided feedback on the sh-t raises and bonuses. They've called out the unethical decisions when it comes to the geo codes. They've communicated that the RTO policies are hurting their people and that morale is in the toilet because the MC and GK do not listen, and they do not care. There is no "managing up" company policies and executive leadership decisions. What the fu-k do you want them to do? Giving their people direction contradictory to policies is just going to get people fired.

Stop being supportive of immediate manager. True leaders fight for their people. Manage up. Take a stand.

Cq said levels of management. That could be be inclusive of the MC. Who knows? It's weird that so many of us fall for middle management's Nuremberg defense.
My group was 91% supportive of our immediate manager but ~20% on the MC. If my immediate manager is told to make cuts however, our support for her won't help who's getting the axe and we need to remember that.
Remember Elfio pointed us to our immediate manager for everything.

@dc those aren't what we're talking about though. We're talking about raises and bonuses.

No, they're not entirely blameless but I can tell you mine didn't even know why things weren't funded at 100% and I know they had minimal control over what I was given. The MC had BIG hands in the pay jar this year.

You can be mad at whomever you'd like. I'm just choosing to direct my anger at the people that actually pull the purse strings.

@da That may be true but who recommends you for promotion? Who's the first in line to put someone on PIP? Middle managers are not totally blameless in the grand scheme of things.

For the most part, survey results meetings are scheduled, rescheduled, rescheduled, rescheduled, and then canceled. Occasionally, one or two will stick, one action item will be executed, and then repeat. By all means, keep tanking what deserves to be tanked. It sends an undeniable message and is better than not taking the survey at all. But don't expect much in return.

@cq your immediate management has little to no say over what you get for a merit and bonus. That's like, way up there at this point.

MC score was horrendous but should be worse. People don’t feel they are appropriately compensated for their work. People are not happy that there was no merit for mid point and over. No remote worker opportunities. People are basically sick of dirty hubs and sharing desks and no personal space. Nothing will be done cause MC is sloppy.

I am not cq but our group had similar results if I'm understanding them correctly. Executive leadership approval was high (>70% on those questions) but >80% of our group thought pay was bad.

@cq Depending on what level of manager you're talking about, they may have very little say over pay and bonus.

Our team received the results Monday and they're confusing. About 75% of our team believes pay is really bad but our levels of management are good. Who do they think sets wages and approves bonuses?

We've gotten a look at them from just a team level and the results surrounding the MC, and the belief that anything positive will come out of this survey tanked like 13% just in our area. Will they listen? Nah. They'll pay themselves on the back for the engagement and continue to do the exact opposite of what people have said they wanted in the survey. If they were listening, and cared, the latest RTO changes wouldn't have happened. They just continue to show they do not care, so why should we care?

They get nothing more from me except what's baseline required to keep my job.
