Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

CONFIMRED - ACTIVITY TRACKED

I was skeptical about the 8 hour office hours before, until I got a warning.

People on this forum also warn about activities been tracked, I did not believe it.

Well today , there was a general email about activities been monitored.
Say you go for doctors appt for 2 hours, when you are back you have to spend extra 2 hours.

In summary, your total online activity must be close to 8 hours.

So if you're in an in-person meeting, that time isn't going to count as work?

I have access to that data and have written scripts to randomly erase executive's activity to make sure they get reported. Hidden it in scheduled jobs and nobody tests anything so good luck finding that! Will let you know if it works.

@b5 my problem with this is that people that were on the first report that came out, got in trouble and a manager check-in in workday. The most recent report that came out, doesn’t have names. It just has the percentage of people on a team not meeting the 8 hours. So these people have anonymity and it probably won’t affect their rating. How is that consistent and fair?

There are now weekly reports managers get of prior week stats for 8 hour compliance & 3/2 hybrid to remind employees. Already saying Non adherence can drop you from an exceeds to an inconsistently meets review at year end. WIM senior leadership is not happy with the lack of compliance at all levels.

No this is OP - that wasn’t me. They are tracking all your mouse and bowel movements. You will be on PIP if you become constipated.

Lol that the crazy guy spammed upvotes on @a4 because he thinks he has some legal case about salaried employees being forced to RTO. This place is such a freak show.

Also wondering about the intelligence of the people on this site: An anonymous troll repeating his weird fear mongering does not constitute “confirming” anything, and it’s nuts that he thinks others share his ignorance of the concept.

@aj Yea you do make me wonder about the intelligence in this company. Most posts on this site have been specifically calling out mouse clicks and movements. You literally had to make a post telling people to not be away from their computer for hours at a time like you just realized this would be something that could be tracked? Ok then. You also aren’t making up the time you have been away for said appointment? What even is this post.

OP again.

Ignore this message at your own risk.

Common sense should have told you that this tracking is not about simple things as mouse move or lunch break.

But rather a long away status as in couple of hours.
Sometimes I wonder the level of intelligence of people working in this company.

What is even meant by “tracking activity”? Like does my mouse have to be moving 24/7? Is it ok as long as teams is green? Like what’s the metric for how many clicks and how much typing is needed?

AI can help with workflows, just as it can with in office activities. The firm is clearly desperate and doesn't trust it's own employees. In the short and long run high quality employees will go elsewhere and Wells Fargo will become less competitive. I encourage you to be honest when describing the toxic work environment,to prospective applicants and friends.

This is OP.

if you have 2 hour doc appointment , either take half day off or work that extra 2 hours in office .

Pick your poison.

So if you come 9 am , you will leave 7 pm or more .

@a3 while the 8 hours a day requirement for exempt employees might be legally defensible (or at least grey area enough that the WF lawyers gave it the go ahead), once you start tracking lunches and doctors appointments and expecting people to "make up the hours" by working longer, I think you'd be getting into real murky territory legally. Might as well have people punching a clock at that point
