Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

I have no ethics but you do your ethics training

Do as i say not as i do. I will take your pay and with your money i will increase my salary by millions every year.

You deserve pay cuts every year for your hard work and delivering. This is all fair and ethical. I have different ethics to you, i deserve everything and you deserve 0.

If they put stock options and exec bonuses in the corrupt payments section of the ethics training then it would make much more sense.

Oh stop already , you don’t like the way you are treated, then man up and change employment

I did in January 2023 , 4 cost of living increases , more holiday allowance than I know what to do with, earning more than I was at DXC

@b4 they are paying 100% if your wage and if you don’t like it, then be man enough to change employers! Only little cry babies are left at DXC

I quit January 28,2023 as I had enough! 4 cost of living increases since then, more vacation time that I know what to do with and I am making more money than I did at DXC!

@cy Just play the videos and keep pressing ‘continue’ until you have to answer a few questions. Basically if you can’t answer them correctly without the fluff beforehand, you shouldn’t be in IT, let alone DXC. Just remember to bill the hour to your client and HR get their bonus.

@db I don’t think this really fools anyone. People raise concerns here because it’s one of the few places it feels like the message is actually heard—line management stopped passing it upwards a long time ago. At the very least, it shows there’s a consistent shared experience.

There’s a bigger issue underneath it. Either the company recognises that demand has shifted and a lot of roles simply aren’t as utilised as they once were, or it doesn’t. At the moment it feels like that reality isn’t being addressed directly.

From what I’ve seen, when clients are comfortable waiting weeks for something that could be done in a day, that behaviour inevitably becomes the norm. Without any incentive to change it, things drift—and over time that becomes embedded in how people work.

That’s why this keeps coming up. It’s less about individuals, and more about a system that no longer seems aligned with the actual level of demand.

The only ethics a DXC employee needs to understand, is that treatment will be as badly as DXC can get away. In a plunging market, employees are nothing more than expendable assets, to be treated as costs

"Pay increases serve merely to mitigate margin erosion caused by attrition."

Its not about real ethics here, its just a tool to fool employees that it exists on their terms.

What actually happens if these mandatory modules aren’t completed? It just generates repeated reminders and escalations - no meaningful engagement. HR could be very busy if nobody does it! Your salary of course won't change as that lever has been completely removed.

As it stands, it's just another tick-box exercise, which does nothing but waste time and distract focus. Or is it really just a measure of how many of us still just do what we are told, and that's all the company wants!

The only ethical thing im going to do is join Networks. If your only paying 60% of my wage i shouldn't be working full hours, that's ethical.
