Should have went for something that wasn’t going to have me stuck in a dead end contract software developer/full stack developer role in a sector that’s full of layoffs.

From what I read, Carly’s husband helped her career a great deal at ATT. She’s definitely a politician so that’s the kind of person who succeed in a big corporation like HP.
It's not your tech degree that's the problem, it's what you've done with that degree that matters now. Investing your career in HP was a major mistake. Career choices have consequences.

@120 Fiorina spend almost two decades at ATT/Lucent before coming to HP. She obviously knew something about business (or should have), but that doesn't mean she knew how to actually manage a business as you outlined well.
Still better than a barista at Starbucks you buffoon.

And she destroyed Lucent and HP along the way. It wasn't her Liberal Arts degree if you could look below the surface, which you obviously can't. She was a ruthless liar and manipulator, the likes of which very few can achieve.

I only majored in tech because I thought it would make me rich, but despite making a six figure salary I’m still living in an apartment with dirty crazy neighbors. I spend my weekends getting drunk to drown out the sorrow.
Nothing worse than being a permanent contract worker. If it makes you feel better I majored in marketing instead of tech and am in the same boat but I just create power points all day instead of code.
