Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

This is what Xerox Employees Should Do

So Xerox is trying to send all jobs to foreign countries and just leave SLT here in USA for their high wage, when in actuality their jobs should be farmed out for lower wages and better ability.
So think about this, force them to collapse, just walk out, all employees, and they have nothing, no more $14M comp. They will let you go with no severance anyways, let them get the same. Just like a union strike.
They deserve nothing.

@m0 if Xerox tries to swap Fuji for inferior lexmark a3 watch out

@ap Canon and Fuji are doing pretty well, but Xerox is by far Fuji's largest customer in the print space. If Xerox migrates away from Fuji to the Lexmark A3 platform - which they will definitely do - then Fuji will lose about $1B in annual revenue and they will have a new direct competitor in the Asia Pac region. Ricoh continues to struggle to make profit in their print segment and Konica Minolta is a mess. Xerox has lots of problems, but the combined Xerox-Lexmark organization may actually be able to turn things around. Only time will tell.

It makes me laugh when all I see is social media posts saying print is declining or print is dead all being posted by Xerox employees.

It is dying for Xerox but not because of what they are suggesting, it’s because Xerox have become strangers in a market place they once dominated.

The Ego still dictates if it’s not working for them then it’s the market place …

Sadly this is a self fulfilling prophecy because for a lot print numbers are back growing.

OP thinks we should all give them a reason to fire us before they lay us all off? I don't get it.

@ca "Get out and look for something. All I hear is excuses and reasons not to try.
Always some laughable nonsense and platitudes of why You are wrong."

I think you are looking at this as a win / loss situation for employees. There is an old saying "Don't quit your current job without another job."

I don't think it's "Congratulations on being Bamboozled" As much as people need to get there ducks in a row to get another position.

I know from talking to many other insiders majority of the staff at Xerox aren't blind to the situation they are in. But telling people to jump ship without having a place to land is just irresponsible. It just doesn't make any senses on the personal level from the employee perspective to jump ship.

Maybe you have enough money that you can leave before all those you advise to leave because it wont hurt your pocket book to not have an income but for majority of workers (at Xerox and any other employer) this isn't the case.

You are not getting the money from xerox. That’s for sure.
You can’t afford to leave xerox, give me a break. Like you didn’t know this was coming. Writing has been on the wall for a long time.

Maybe a few less lunches out and brew your own coffee in the morning, for a start. Then realize that working like a good little soldier is not appreciated or rewarded here.

Get out and look for something. All I hear is excuses and reasons not to try.
Always some laughable nonsense and platitudes of why You are wrong.

Total Rubbish. Desperate people hired to save what’s left of the organization.

To give up and stay to the end is probably the worst decision you could make. And my guess is you will be the first to complain and last to realize you didn’t walk away from this mistake, when you could have.

Congratulations on being Bamboozled…

@OP that is not at all how this works. Your idea would actually give Bandy the Clown and excuse that would probably buy him another year.

@OP This is what the CEO is basically doing, he is going to lose everybody's job plus his eventually.
This is why Canon, Fujifilm are doing really pretty good in a poor market segment.
Under a better CEO, it could have been very different.

@OP Where are you dreaming up these things

@OP This is a dream world suggestion. Majority of people are tied to there work for paying bills on a pay check to pay check basis and can't afford just getting up and leaving without having a secondary income source or new position that fully funds their lives.

If it would work in convincing board to get rid of CEO to do a walkout for a day or two that would be worth it.
He is just stealing from the stock holders and employees at this point. Shame on the board, but we know THEY work as a team.
