Does anyone know when the Barnhart office is shutting down ? And the end date for the employees ? I asked my manager regarding the timeline but was not given any information
They are desperately hoping that at least a few employees will hand them an opportunity to term without severance. Stay the course. Make then pay. That's how you resist. Long live the Oregon employees!
I heard some departments last day working from barnhart being today, 9/30... ,& starting tomorrow WFH until they get the lay off call. Wonder if that's a lie based on what I'm reading
Anyone else getting hit with an 8 hour, 3 days a week, in office requirement right now? Talk about stupid timing...
We were told by October at the Barn. Not sure if that means every department, but there is light at the end

Did anyone in Barnhart receive extensions and got WFH option approved ?
Nothing in Salem yet. I think we are here for at least a couple more weeks.
Okay so regardless it’ll be October 14th or 28th and some have been informed that they’ll be going to WFH once the rest are gone.
@ax A quick Google search will tell you that you got bad information from the rumor mill. The Barnhart has not been sold and in fact is still open for lease meaning that technically nobody has come foward yet to even rent the place. The lease for us is up at the end of the year and bodies need to be out by 11/1 for people to start coming in and moving everything out. If someone were to lease the building, they would take ownership 1/1/26.
Some people have also received extensions past 12/31/25 and will be working from home beginning no later then 10/31/25.
From what I understand, they’ve sold the building and it’s going to be demolished so the rest of us are planning to go either October 14th or 28th as we expect they’ll continue having the building for the duration of our severance period, right? I’ve seen some people mention WFH due to the demo but I’m pretty sure they’ve said multiple time that there will be no WFH for any groups as a result of location strategy and that we’re all out Q4.
