Thread regarding Belk layoffs

Swanky holiday Christmas party again?

Will Belk corporate throw their lavish holiday party again? While stores can’t budget for basic supplies, much needed maintenance and more than one or two fitting rooms open?

FYI - this years holiday party was 1.5 hours long at the office. Nasty cold food, very tone deaf. Nothing swanky about it at all.

@c7 last year we had bread, deli meat, sliced tomato, maybe some cheese, from the grocery store across the street. Pathetic.
No one can tell me what the meal plan is for this year. I guess they haven’t decided.

The theory is a big holiday party means big layoffs soon after. Belk had theirs at Bank of America stadium and guess what happened 2 months later… I still haven’t heard where it is this year

@c8 that’s not even enough to cover anything in this day and time. It’s a shame they don’t do more.
