@d5 They also give zero f's about their customers too. They would probably have to reduce their product offerings, unless they think AI can support their stuff.
Anyone want to lay bets on how long before they start calling people back when AI craps the bed?
Greece & Cyprus? Anyone?
Fired today, Oracle Dubai
RIF as reason
@d7 what is SEE?
Got info that some people from SEE were fired today (garden leave).
@d5 *target
@bc so far there has been only 12K not 30. 30K is the global yarget when all is done. Clay has declared over the coming years he will reduce the total workforce to 60K. Leadership gives zero f’s about employees lives. Welcome to the new world order, AI will solve everything 🙄
@cb Never occurred to you that English might not be OP's first language?
@c5 even Czech and Poland?
@ch layoff meeting invite. What else?
What invite did you get?
@ce I got my invite so its happening on 28th yes
@ca Yes, I was asking if April 28 is UK only layoff day.
I hear the selection criteria is based upon good grammar and spelling.
Been nice knowing you!
@aa ALL countries will be hit. Generally this is 15-20% going across the whole company. Why would any country feel that they might miss out on the fun?
However, I hear Liechtenstein and Vatican City may be OK.
@aa most EU countries, but not all next week.
@aj Managers will schedule notification meetings themselves.
@bc because in Europe the laws and protection are different . Manager here, meetings will be scheduled in the UK tomorrow.
30,000 RIF’s happened by email (in the name of efficiency), why do you think HR is scheduling meetings with managers…
Has HR scheduled notification meetings for managers yet?
@a4 Is only UK expected to be hit or some other countries as well?
All eyes on 28th April
