Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Legacy JD Edwards product let go of its VP along with other trimmings. Multiple redundant title inflated VPs still exists with no value add to the product. All folks have VP\Sr. Director\IC6\IC5 very inflated titles. IC5\6 here would be a IC2 in a regular team.

I wish I should have stayed in JD Edwards org and enjoyed the job security and would not have daily layoff stress.

Jet, vb and ADF teams bring billions and are not obsolete like legacy products. But they have been completely demolished. Good luck legacy teams if you continue to coast.

@c1 How to even respond to that lol.

You don't make billions for Oracle by sitting around doing nothing. You do it by continuing to invest in the legacy products and the thousands of large companies that are still using them.

Ge-z - no wonder they have so many layoffs in other departments if this is the level of intelligence

Why does the tiny fraction get to be comfortable doing nothing and get benefit of work of the 99% that were laid from these teams.

@a8 Legacy Apps still brings in billions for Oracle each year in revenue and maintenance with a tiny fraction of the head count of Fusion apps.
