“Redeployment Services”

Any of y’all that got canned because of location strategy, like me, get an email from a recruiter in the Redeployment Services group? Never heard of them and have no idea what they are wanting from me. Anyone have any experience with that group? Thanks

It's a fairly new function that was established by someone who felt guilty about how many good people are being impacted by the rash decisions that are made be these id--t managers. Once you are displaced they may email you with an opt in form basically asking for your consent in them helping you during your first 60 days in finding a new role to deploy your to. A recruiter will work with you to find a job for you by partnering with recruiters internally to work with hiring managers who have not yet posted new jobs that they need to fill. They will coordinate with them informal meetings with the hiring managers and if there is a fit they will place you in the role before the job is posted- no interviews, no competitive process or panel interviews. Basically the recruiter will open a confidential requisition that will be emailed to you, you apply and the rest is worked on behind the scenes and you will be transferred into that role like you never left the company. They were unable to help me, lots of interest from hiring managers but they would back out at the last minute saying that they would rather open the req to all possible candidates and take their chances in the competitive process rather than taking a risk on an already vetted employee.

They are trying to help you, they attempt to fill open roles internally with people who have been recently displaced

Might be the co location group moving everyone to same office as their manager.
That is definitely happening and underway.

@op "Never heard of them and have no idea what they are wanting from me"

Just a random thought, read the email? It probably says what they want.

Sounds like this was a #therightone move on Wells Fargo's part.
