So now that I'm being RAed, methinks it's time to think of IBM as a stationery store with danish, as Seinfeld once said. After all, I could use some extra Sharpies and sticky notes at home.

@s1 Darn, that shows how cheap and tawdry Alvind and his Pipmunks have become. But maybe (just maybe) they have wall to wall carpeting, chairs and lights you can take and repurpose ? It might be a serious case of misplaced hope ...

Office is so cheap, we haven't had normal office with cubicles and proper supplies for over 10 years. RTO but DIY office space.
@bs about 10+ years ago, IBM Facility managers were giving away the furniture for FREE from IBM sites which were being closed down, to the moving companies. Employees were not given any chance to get the furniture. Those moving companies resold all the stuff for a fat profit. Then IBM management finally realized they could sell this stuff. LOL !
So if it's small enough, help yourself. If the BCGs don't apply to corrupt and unethical IBM executives and managers, why should they apply to departing IBM employees ?
Why stop at stationary? Boardroom swivel chair, anyone? Lol!!
I got my reward the day I got laid off, I left my chewed bubble gum under the desk. Yes i told them!
Take it all, even if it's small! I was RAed many years ago and I still treasure the rubbery coaster I snagged from an IBM conference room. In fact it's on my desk under a cup of tea as I write this. Thanks IBM!
@a8 why not take both while you can ? It's a "lift and shift operation" as they say in the cloud lingo.
Remember, there will be a last minute rush to take home all small and portable items ahead of the Dec. 4, 2025 deadline. It's the IBM "Beat Alvind" Christmas memento fire sale, so plan ahead. Alvind took away your IBM job but you got the last laugh AND IBM post it pads, pens and assorted knick-knacks.
