Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

When OpenAI fails/declares bankruptcy, Oracle goes with it?

OpenAI failing is a mathematical certainty, what happens to Oracle as a result?

@en How? Their margins are negative. All things equal, volume will make them loose even more money.

@bk

I'm sure they will make it up on volume.

OpenAi is going to take Oracle to its dark pit

@bf Not sure you understand what OpenAI has promised and what they are actually doing. They lose 7 billion dollars a quarter, have adjusted negative margins of -122%, their user numbers and adoptions have stalled, and have agreed to ~1 trillion in spending in the next few years. Lets not even discuss how Microsoft is distancing themselves from OpenAI as quickly as they can

There is no way they can succeed at this point.

I doubt OpenAI will fail. Oracle will also get back to track some how. But its going to throw lots of Oracle employees under the bus. Organization's are going to be flattened. Oracle is known for low pay already and people who were let go recently are facing the heat with their low severance and useless health coverages.
Leverage the time, tools Oracle provides. Start your own company inside Oracle. Use codex or Oracle code assist to build your own software which you can sell outside.
