@cq technically it was only 1-2 execs for taxes. The others were coerced. Taxes aren't a big problem in MO compared to NYC.

@cc We were told all Ops teams will be split between 2 core locations which means people will be given the choice to relocate or get the boot.

I’ve been trying to figure out if the Fanta lady is in STL or Charlotte. Some conflicting signals.

The are just about as many people in the STL campus as there are in the new Dallas campus.

It isn’t going away anytime soon.

Some completely misguided opinions here. The office isn't going away anytime soon. If anything, they may contract or consolidate into one building or find something else much smaller altogether. At the end of the day, they don't have the appetite to layoff 1200 brokerage people, then rehire in Dallas or Charlotte. It's a much more specialized skill set.

Much easier to layoff all of Ops and backfill in India or CIC.

@cp

WIM leaders are in W Palm Beach for 6 months to get the Florida income tax break for their own wallets and at the expense of WF. The execs here burn through a ton of corporate cash for their own benefit.

@cc SR leader P Lombardo said in a CRG town hall last October said the plan of STL is to reduce to 1 building. Not a growth area for WFA. Said STL wouldn’t be closing but now all the WIM leaders are in W Palm beach. Almost weekly a WIM ops team is told they are leaving STL & moving them to Charlotte. I can see STL ending up being only WIM brokerage teams.I’ve heard 2030 for STL closure totally but thats pure rumor. Today there are 27 jobs posted in STL & 194 in Charlotte.

@cc no plans on the buildings. Ops has around 1200 people. So, at least 2k will still be around

Keep hearing that STL will be a ghost town in the next two years going down to just one building on campus and all of Operations gone. Anyone else hearing this? 2027 seems to be a recurring end date in conversations.

@bj few hundred? There are 4k people still there, until Ops leaves.

It'll be fine for years if you're in WIM. Can't say the same for non-WIM people like COO.

St. Louis is making a big comeback. Boeing is relocating its defense hq to the city.

Closure within 4 years. The smartest rats have already abandoned the ship. There are a few hundred people left who are either close enough to retirement or in denial.
