Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Xerox Lexington Building

Are they really closing it down or is that just a rumor?

@bc haven’t seen the news you reference. Reducing real estate footprint is a Xerox historical habit to reduce cost. Then, they proceed to reduce people at the site.

@a4
What the heck are you talking about "Sell". Lexmark sold the land and building a few years befor Xerox purhased them. They only owned a small parcel of land at the time of the purchase. Not only that, they then leased the building back from the company they sold it to on a 10 year cycle.

Given that they have a solar farm and watter power system that offsets their power consuption, even if Xerox shuttered the building, they would only save some small utilities costs because they are still locked into the lease.

Perhapse they could sublease but who knows.

@OP There is no active plan to get rid of or sell the Lexington Building at this time.
