Let’s stop pretending, risk is not independent AND it doesn’t need to be. Leadership understands this but regulators are living a fantasy.

It is so challenging to get people to do their job instead of dodging responsibility and accountability. They think fear of layoffs will calibrate habits and behaviors. It won’t in any meaningful way.

I think at least 50% when he is finally done.. still over 10k people in risk today under DF that number steadily dropping every month .. at least useless and duplicative processes are being eliminated too

The Risk mirage is over. It will eventually be broken up and put back in the businesses. Only Audit needs to remain independent.
