Thread regarding Ford layoffs

No bonus, but a bill

So I voluntarily left in November. No bonus payment for me. Instead I received a bill to pay for a couple of days of management lease they forgot to deduct from my last payroll.
Fantastic.

Update from b1 below:
A-hole people leader confirmed today that I am getting a big fat 0 for a bonus, so I am confirming that Ford can speak to my attorney if they want to be paid for the management lease charges.

@k5 ford best talent is led by leaders who have never DELIVERED anything. They build a toxic culture and get rid of anyone with talent because they are threatened. Have fun cleaning up the frito lays crumbs of DF as he strolls in late to a meeting saying profound things like “what do you think”. Or listening Jae Park wax poetic about how the messy middle in another pointless town hall. I have more talent in my pinky than that org combined.

No bonus deposited for me as well. I retired near the end of 2025. Maybe the check is in the mail. I was billed for a lease vehicle too, but I was expecting that.

You must be a pleasant person to work with. That was sarcasm by the way. The facts are that Ford's best talent is at Palo Alto and those part of Model e. We are still considered a start-up until the true ground up products are on sale to the public. That is when profitability happens.

@OP Look at the bright side. Your Bill didn't have the last name of Ford. But then again, either way it is BS.

Double check what you owe and confirm you don’t own them a penny. It’s a money grab to send that bill to you. they tried to bill me too but I had my records and told them I won’t pay and the letters stopped. I didn’t owe them anything. They started sending a bill 3 years after I left.

@h7 that attitude would get that person promoted at ford. The amount of a--holes I’ve dealt with in dearborn and Palo Alto is astounding. Most people do not contribute anything but appeasing their LL2’s sycophantic personality. Look at model e and DPD. Have literally contributed nothing in 5 years yet they think they walk on water. Losers in Dearborn who flash their U of Mm shirt only to walk out like babies when they’re challenged in meetings. Biggest bunch of snowflakes at ford. They’ll be irrelevant in a few years or taken over by china. Good riddance.

@ed All billy has to do is go look in the parking lot to see how dedicated his employees are, at this point you can see a large portion of the vehicles out there are from other brands, it was not like this 5 years ago... I wouldn't count on too much loyalty. Bill says he likes the Fartley because he 'cares' for a dude that cares he sure doesn't seem to share the same values as his boss with all these new hires. Meanwhile kick out the Pam and Lindas with 25 years experience to save a few bucks on pension payouts, and you just lost the people that knew what they were doing and who to pick up the phone to fix something. But hey, AI never makes mistakes, we want polished mo--ns that can a-s kiss all day long before going home in their honda.

@d2 @d2 Send him an email. I’ve heard he reads them. He seems to be misled by management. They’re tarnishing his legacy. He wasn’t the greatest CEO, but he was a decent guy with a ‘family’ company. Now he has a crack house and an ugly building in Dearborn with no parking. He can’t count on his current ‘family’ of employees in a jam anymore, and you sure as he-l can’t put any faith in upper management.

@d2 they treat each other like family. You are just not in it. In the case described below, the LL2 redistributed the money he took away to his favorites. Basically overwriting the ranking his team had done. This led to a few people having a middle of the pack rating but really high bonuses.

Was surprised also to learn that I would not be receiving a pro-rated bonus from my time last year. Ford has done some evil things, but this has got to be the most evil. All so they can redistribute the monies to themselves. I wonder if Bill Ford is aware that his people did this? I wonder what would happen if every single person that had this done to them sent an email to Bill letting him know what they think about this "we treat each other like family" move.

@b6
I had received a few prior bills, but I was disputing them, and couldn't find anyone to help. I figured if they wanted their money, they could take it out of my prorated bonus, and now they will never get paid since I didn't either. That's why I said 2 can play at this game.

@cd Did anyone go to speak up? This is precisely the sort of amoral behavior that does indeed hurt the companies reputation.

Heard an LL2 zeroed out the bonuses for anyone who retired or left last year. That's harsh. Especially since the LL2 likely got a bonus for delivering nothing. Practices like that will hurt the company's reputation.

@aw they do not have to. As I stated a few times before here: My LL2 did not give anyone who left (voluntary or not) a bonus.

@b1 when was your last day? The bill was kind of a slap in the face considering they waited to send it at bonus time. Instead of four months earlier when it became due. That felt abusive.

I was involuntarily terminated last year, but should have been eligible for a prorated bonus and received nothing. I also received a bill for management lease vehicles in today's mail. It will be a cold day in he-l before I pay that bill. Sc--w me twice, and two can play at this game. These wa-kers can talk to my attorney.
