Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Happy Monday!

Just wanted to give the proper hello to rhe worst CEO and human being in Chevron History, MW. Also a hello to the worst CIO in Chevron history that is destroying his fellow American IT personnel to pad his pockets. What kind of people have so little loyalty to their country and community they happily sacrifice them for themselves? Terrible humans. They DO NOT HAVE to act this way. No law says they have to. For those defending these people, a few extra pennies of dividend in your retirement fund at thr cost of laying off people in your community is not Wirth it. Its absolutely wirthless! You dont have enough in your account to make a difference. Now to head out to take an MW!

@dr he answers his own emails and meets employees? Sounds like bs. I love how he takes predetermined softball questions at SETH

OP if you had any b@lls you’d say a proper hello to MW’s face. He answers his own emails and meets with employees.

If you have something to say to the man, say it to him and stop being such a P*$$y.

@b1 I hear what you’re saying and respect your point of view, but where does the buck stop, if not with MW? His unapologetic reliance on consultants to do the strategic work that he and his ELT should have been doing is simply inexcusable.

These are very highly compensated folks who presumably are intelligent. How is it possible that we are in the mess we find ourselves in? Who has been minding the shop FOR FREAKING YEARS?????

The average employee is getting to a boiling point with the constant changes, layoffs galore, and bad decision on top of bad decision with no visible consequences for those at the top. Do these folks even know the meaning of the word accountability? It is a joke. They lost all credibility.

@OP
I don’t agree the problems at Chevron all belong to MW. There are a lot of leaders across the management teams that multiply the disorganization at Chevron. It is a great company and I am happy to have worked here for the past 20+ years. However, I have worked for several 2st and 2nd level managers that take the contributions of 10 people and deliver the output of ~6 people. It’s surprising to me the decrease in value some TL’s bring to a team. I believe the bloated workforce is the result of poor leadership from the 1st and 2nd level managers.
I respect anyone’s viewpoint but I have worked for done less the efficient managers at Chevron. Although I have also worked for some good ones at chevron.
