this has to be some reality show at this point, where are the cameras? All you can do is laugh. Who in their right mind will voluntarily raise their hand to be terminated… only to find out volunteering yourself does not gurantee termination. They just did layoffs not even 6 months ago and now this. I would rather them come out and say they are going bankrupt because this is just comical.

@s4 So I'm the dummy.. but you all admit your not new to this stuff and still you act like id--ts that know nothing about how layoffs work.
OR
Your just so fing self absorbed and entitled you like to sht post online.
@bm Dummy, so did XRX up until ~2018 or so.
@g4 oh dear, you do seem to be n angry bunny. Have you been passed over for a promotion, a raise, or simply you simmer anger because you are a low achiever. Whichever it is, using the f-bo-b in your post demonstrates a feeble mind.
@ct why do you twats think asking you if you want to Volunteer should result in some enhanced severance? Thats not the point. The point is someone is going to get cut. Better that the complainers, the lazy unmotivated twerps, the people who are haning around wispering gossip and saying "They are going to have to pay me to leave", be those people that go than those employees that want to stay and want to put in the work.
Maybe your close to retiring any way. Maybe your just fed up and want off the boat but you don't want to quit. This is your f*ing way off the boat that saves some random person from getting axed.
But your to F*ing selfish and greedy and opinionated to see how that could be a win win and all you want to know is what more is in it for you. Your a sht employee, your a Sh*ttier coworker.
I hope no one loses their jobs but if it has to be you guys or me or any of the good people I work with every day, I sinverly hope all of your B*itching, complaining twats are gone in short order.
@fh anything to do with him would doubtless be bitterness, that is if you actually know who they are referring to
@dq yup
@aq this is a common thread. Someone is very bitter or jealous of A1 xx is to keep making snarky comments.
They still paying 2 weeks per year in the UK?
@af Not true, HMRC treats it in the same way.
@ca and that would have made business sense. There is no way there's going to be any type of enhanced severance, they aren't in a position to be able to give you more money than they would if they IRIF'd you. They're struggling for their life here c'mon
@bm Xerox used to do VRIFs, but that stopped when UB became CEO. She didn't want to pay people who wanted to leave.
Anyone think this was part of the Reinvention plan? Or maybe it’s not going so well….
You Xeroids make me laugh that you all are just experiencing all these things for the first time.
For the past 20 years Lexmark has had a Vountary Program in advance of an Involuntary program.
It allows people who want to leave and get paid to do so, the oppertunity to leave and reducse the number of people involuntarily chosen.
Some of you Xeriods are so entitled and obnoxious that it's inconceviable to you that your not wanting to be, your lack of motivation to work, your focus on complaining instead of performance are all things contibuting to the decline of the company. So this is a way for you to shut up and get out if you want instead of wasting your time, the companies time and puting people who actualy want to work here at risk of losing out jobs.
@ag Like SB?
@az well yes if we’re getting into details etc but generally speaking it doesn’t make sense at these numbers. You’re also intentionally making yourself jobless which probably makes you ineligible for jobseekers but I’m not 100% on this bit
@af Voluntary or not, it is taxed over £30k.
Reach out to your network friends. Many of us alumni have found warmer waters and are in need of quality performers who know the industry, and are ready to help us continue routing Xerox accounts. The word is out, and the customers are coming to us daily to unravel their Xerox programs. Do it before you've completely sacrificed your integrity and total comp; do it while you still have some negotiation leverage. This is atrocious behavior from your employer, and you cannot insulate the customers from it. You are not capable of being a shepherd anymore, and you're quickly becoming a sheep.
@ar I have been told it’s enhanced severance also and I’m waiting for package details.
If the severance is the same as IRIF, then it’s not worth leaving. If you volunteer you won’t be eligible for unemployment.
@ah FAQ seems to say if you have already put in your notice, you are eligible. But I don't see any benefit to doing so.
@a4 The FAQ clearly states "Accepted employees will receive a standard separation package...." I wouldn't get hopes up about any enhanced severance.
@ap and his little sycophant A1 x x sis too, absolutely sick of him
hope the clown CMO gets to go
@ad in Canada they have room to reduce alot of what they give though. Legally they do not have to give the significant amount they have been. I'd expect that to reduce very soon. They simply can't afford it anymore. Hush/ go away money doesn't matter when they're going under anyway.
I told you so!!!! Years ago.
But. Nooooooooooo…
And also to irritate corporate bootlickers like you 😉
Well He-l, I already put my notice in. I wish this had been offered a couple of months ago.
It's to allow the people who don't want to do anything to improve the company to leave.
But no yall will probably stay so you have something to moan about online
This does not work in the UK because anything voluntary is taxed. So no one bothers
This is a way to add to the numbers of people being laid off without creating stress for managers and directors. Releasing people is not stress free.
No risk in Canada. Severance is by law. Hold out for the best payout by law in Canada.
It seems they are looking to first ask for volunteers before another big round of layoffs in May or after. If you don’t take the offer you likely won’t get any type of severance at all so if you were planning on leaving anyways or figure your role will be eliminated in the future this might be your last shot to leave in best manner possible before just getting an email one day you’re done.
Presumably the payout would be one week per year in Canada vs 3 - 4 weeks per year for non voluntary. The risk in holding out is that they don't let you go and everyone left is in the 10 time survivor club
I am guessing they are withholding the severance details because the severance they will pay us is quite pathetic.
Take it or you risk being let go with Zero severance!
How old are the people who got this "great deal"?
It's seems very odd to be required to nominate yourself before they will share what the severance details will be. Wish they'd just lay it out clearly. A normal VRIF used to include the package details up front.
It also may be a possibility that this is the last round of layoffs that will include any type of severance at all.
Who knows, really? This is such a strange company now.
What is the "enhanced" severance?
Enhanced severance, I have asked
Is there meant to be some benefit to volunteering? Do you get a bonus on your way out or something? There's no way that bonus will be better than severance, right?
