He is coming back for a visit again.
Watch out.
Must be another family event.
That's the only reason he comes over.
Free travel on our backs.

Nice try Richa.
Stop posting.
Not true.
That business is drying up and shrinking.
Inside we all know that.
Not sure why it hasn't all been sold off.

@kx IT operates like it is 2004. Lead centric development.

@wa This is not true at all? There’s quite a large and growing chunk of business outside the U.S.

Really? Look at how much business we do outside the US. We are not a global company anymore. We sold off all the major stuff outside the US. Only a fool thinks we are global anymore. We are a US company. The India story is about cutting costs

Who is the SVP?

The dysfunction in IT goes way beyond the India mess.
It so funny to watch the politics in IT.
They are all so two - faced.
Our SVP talks cr-p about the CIO all the time. Our manager tells us funny stories about what he says.
They used to fight when they both worked for Noelle.
Now that DP is CIO he is so far up his butt.
When we see DP walking around, we see this guy's feet sticking out his a**.
Wonder if DP knows what his leaders think about his offshore strategy?

@m1 you exaggerate, but when you look at the average comp package of IT here plus how little work half of our peers actually do, it's no wonder. I've been job hunting for a year now and everything so far would be upwards of a 50% cut with 100% more responsibilities - plus no work from home. I absolutely hate it here, but I enjoy being overpaid for doing very little.

@m1 The non IT side is just scared of IT being onshore and being able to automate their jobs. They are just louder and more vocal about preserving their jobs.

@kx I just sp-t champagne all over my gold plated keyboard - I'm in IT and it's soooooo good. Too bad the secrets out - it's been luxurious explaining to the business their own requirements, documenting them, and updating them on the milestones they also couldn't be bothered to figure out. Finally, they've caught on they can boss HIH around.

Well, I'm off to the polo grounds in my Maybach. Caio!

The goal for IT is to get 50% of the workforce in HIH - told to me by a Senior Director. The business stated that IT has had it too good for too long. Other companies tried this model 10-20 years ago and went away from it as it didn't work well.

The CIO is from India.
Thats a clear sign that the future growth is there, not in Bloomfield, Ct.

Cigna is following the exact same playbook as other insurance and financial services companies.its what their investors want. Sadly, not one cares about the experienced loyal employees or the impact on members.

David said we’re a global company, we hire global talents. You can find more IT opportunities if you select India in your search.
