Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

In-Crowd Cliques, Offshoring and HIH are going to massively fail 5 years from now.

And those of you laid off are going to be in way better spots and laughing at the decisions being made today by terrible people who are so shortsighted.

Offshoring nursing is already horrible as far as accuracy goes for prior auth. But I guess they’re cheap enough who cares about accuracy

@ap

From their perspective, yes. Those three can be replaced at HIH for a fraction of the cost and the golf follies can continue on...

@a9 the crazy thing is that these band 5 and 6 provide almost no value to the company in my experience. You manage a team - awesome? How many jobs can we save by eliminating useless management? Are 3 juniors really worth firing so that my director can keep playing golf with his band 5 buddies?

@a9 That makes sense, that Band 5/6 and their clique operate this way. Now seeing Analyst and Advisors that they favor now massively fail on calls because the actual people working are getting laid off.

@a5 a Band 6 (?) wrote in here last week that they were told to make deep cuts to their downline staff of 100. They were directed not to discuss with the managers leaving them to make decisions without clear line of sight. They knew they risked eliminating the wrong people. But to preserve the culture of secrecy, that is the risk Cigna is willing to accept.

@a4 it's actually funny now seeing that the people that are safe start to massively fail now based on a group call I got out of.

Too bad the SME is being laid off.
