Thread regarding Belk layoffs

Who’s struggling?

I'm curious about how many stores are facing challenges due to a lack of hours while trying to prepare for inventory.

@am WTF? All websites are national sites.

@f0 we lose more Lauren by theft than by sales. It walks out the door because there are no associates to give customer svc or just to be present to deter the shoplifters.

While I haven’t heard anything about the polo contract expiring. Polo did recently announce they plan to shift away from department stores and focus more on their own stores and the brand itself. The statement said the polo brand would leave certain stores where the product isn’t selling well. Sak’s, Bloomingdale’s and Macys have already began pulling it from some stores and their bigger stores will continue selling it. This is what I imagine is going to happen with Belk, it will most likely stay in the top 20-30 stores.

Why are Belk postings on here? A regional 1990 hasbeen store in 2 or 3 states. This is a national site. #timesup. No future here
