Why is it so secretive? Are they going to reduce workforce by October ?

The current LTI is expiring this is the real reason for the delay, a new one needs to be approved by the shareholders and is up for a vote. It'll pass but this is why.
@cb psh… Oracle doesn’t have data centers? Same deal… dispatch, call out, SLA, etc.
Keep working nights and weekends. Won't help you to not get rifled. Can't believe how many people bought into the lie. Everyone scared.
There will be 2 rounds of large layoffs by then. They know what they're doing. If you're attached to one of the sites closing get your resume ready
@ak Oracle does not have a network that required people go get into a vehicle and drive to a location to fix a fiber cut in the rain or snow or go to a cell site and fix it. What is with people like you! Oracle is an orange and Verizon is a potato, you can't compare the two.
@ak, no, Oracle is not doing great; look at their stock price this year. Down a lot.
They're waiting for smaller headcount to announce amount
Ok, The lack of transparency is insulting. Just be honest and real with employees...
Oracle just laid off 30k and they are doing great. You can bank on VZ having significant layoffs between now and Oct...
@ac no, they have just painted up the exact same vesting time as being "more" which feels like they think we're getting a deal when we are not.
it says more frequent vesting - they’re probably gonna up payouts to every few months instead of annually …. right
So if you survive long enough to reach October you get Stock Together. That they have delayed this tells me there will be significant RIFs between now and October
Layoffs. Don't want to be committed to this like the last round. So 100pct reduction related
I guess aka confirmed the layoff(s) before end of Oct
This 100% confirms more layoffs. Probably 1 or 2 more rounds. They don't want palm laid off to get this benefit.
Of course. They also need to make sure we keep up the momentum started in 4Q. If we do we get more money, if we don't we get less. This isn't rocket science.
