@b4 same. I come in super early, all leave at the same time.
@b8 I highly doubt anyone in the US got 4pm email. It was said it would come between 7-8am tomorrow from the start and hourly employees were told to log on between then for it so I’d assume it’ll actually be then.
@am which teams got 4pm email
@b6 what do you mean? I work my expected hours? I’m not working over 40 hours a week.
@b4 so you prioritize your work life over your home life? Crazy. No thank you.
@ah what? Even precovid my team only came in right before standup at 9:30. The whole “structured hours” thing is so d-mb.
@b3 that’s funny. I go into the office around 630-7am most days. Barely a person insight, but when I leave at 330-4 everyone seems to be on their way out. A lot of people not working full days. Probably part of the problem. Everyone’s “at capacity” but doesn’t work full days.
@az does everyone not work 8-5? Or is it just me bc I WFH
@am nothing as well
@a8 when you announce something like this on a Thursday or the following Tuesday, don’t expect anyone to be working Friday or Monday.
@an ready to talk about what? What can you do in office that you can’t do at home, work wise? People are bi--hing and moabing about getting Starbucks while working from home with corp has a Starbucks in corporate. That line is packed either way. So it’s okay to waste time because you’re in office? D-mb
@a8 typical hours are 7-330 so having a ton of replies at a 4pm posting makes sense
@am what area?
Most companies will send emails out around 4am so you get it before you “wake up.” I’ve done them at other companies and the invites are on a schedule send in the very early AM. Target seems to be doing this to the beat of their own drum though so who the heck knows.
@aq ……you good?
@am which areas? It’d be helpful to provide more details since everyone’s so anxious. Why post something so vague if you know which areas they’re in?
@am can you please clarify? Did US team member start receiving emails?
@an and when your job is cut like the rest of us, let us know how the lack of time for your family was worth it.
@an and I bet the quality of my work is just a high as yours, what’s your point?
@ah no you fu--ing absolutely part of the problem d-mb motherf----rWe CAN increase productivity AND do better for fellow humans. These goals are NOT mutually exclusive.
Fu--s sake it's "Chickens for KFC!" or "Hispanics for Trump!" territory here, or Samuel L. Jackson's character, Stephen, in Django Unchained.
THE RULING CLASS IS NOT YORU FU--ING FRIEND WE SET THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR OUR LABOUR.
You stupid fu--s hold us all back.
@am you mean you know of people that got an email at 4 for a meeting tomorrow?
@ah as a mom myself who manages to get to the office by 8am EVERY DAY, yes it is part of the problem. I guess all the moms disliking your post aren’t ready to talk about that yet
I just confirmed few of US TMs (whom I know) have received the 4 Pm email.
@ah or it revealed a problem with the old working model, when you could do the same job just as well AND not sacrifice morning time with your children and save thousands of dollars on child care. If they’re getting their work done, what is the issue?
Seriously? This comment sounds exactly like something a CEO would say. Not everyone can just “find before school care” — that mindset is part of the problem. Covid impacted everyone..
"@ac isn’t this part of the problem? Your work day revolves around school drop off? Before covid we all had to find before school care and be in the office by 8."

No, nothing yet.
4:30 - nothing yet.
FYI, Amazon announced job cuts starting tomorrow as per a Reuters report. Job search may be a bit tougher.
”Exclusive: Amazon targets as many as 30,000 corporate job cuts, sources say”

@a8 I’m certain everyone’s anxiously refreshing this site, hoping to find some information. The silence in Slack and emails is unsettling.
Why couldn’t they just send out that meeting today :////
Mornings are a terrible time with school drop off…
No comms.
They dropped the ball on that one.
Why all the secrecy.
Ugh this is making me LIVID. Why the he-l is this company letting this drag out. We need answers. We need transparency. This is detrimental to people’s mental health.
Nada here
7 minutes after posting, 1000 views... wtf, is anyone working in Corporate?
Nothing here
Nothing as well
Guess we're expected wake up tomorrow and find out.
Nothing
Nothing either
